gwheng
I'm on 886 FS, lodged my application on Sept 2010. Please do include me in the waiting list.
lia0808
Dear AllI have put together a little list of all the FS (mostly Cat 5) I have come across in 176, 866 and 475. All of you are welcomed to write about any information that i have not got right and add new people to the list. This will help in letting us know, when they start with FS, then how far they will be processing it so that the others can get ready. It is still too early to expect any movement, maybe in April, like Gagan said, but in the meantime we can pass the time in compiling a list. BTW, they are processing Cat 4 FS so they either have some places from the 4200 or they have increased it because before January the grants for FS was almost nonexistant on the forum. Here is the list: 176 FS ARS: Feb 2008, Mb_jg: 20th March 2008 Queenbee: April 2008, TILAK RAJ: July 2008, VANDDIR1: 16 August 2008, Country: Sri Lanka, PJ2OZ: Applied: 30 Oct. 2008, Country: UK, Off Shore, mchugh1080: 18 December 2008 Suraweeraneil: 12 March 2009, A4Ron: 18 March 2009, LR - UK Mum of CD’s bro and his wife: 26 March 2009, HR ug24des: June 2009, Cat 5 Vincenz: Aug 2009 Jkhprotech: 25 August 2009, UK, Offshore (Online), LR, Arshad: 28 September 2009, HR, paper application, Offshore MK23: 01/Oct/2009, Stephaniewatson: October 2009, SaraC: Applied: 20 June 2010, Country: UK, Offshore (Online), Soulhuntsman: 8-Nov-2010, (Cat 3 or 4) 12-Sep-2011: Co Allocated | 25-Jan-2013: CO required PCC and Med 475 Family sponsored: Kazzarazza’s daughter: Oct 2008, Cat 5 Vandm: Nov 2008, HR Bluecollectables:16 Dec 2008, , Marketing Specialist, Sophie1219: 21 Apr 2009 Iviv: July 09, living in Melbourne. 866 Family Sponsored: Aasha: 24th dec 2008, online Nitinmehmi: April 2009, Franklin: June 2009, online Rocks 2009: June 2009 Ricky D:, Dec 09, community welfare Saras712: Dec 2009, life scientist Maheshijain: May 2009, FS, Visa class = ? As at 1 July 2012, there were approximately 16,350 Skilled Independent cases representing approximately 27,600 applicants in Priority Group 5 awaiting allocation. Hi thanks for the list. I am just checking, does the immigration go through the VISA by the date or month? I am VISA 886 and May 2009. And I saw that someone in April and June 2009 already has a CO. So how does that work? Do I need to call them up and check on mine?

gwheng
hi Guys With the new information that posted on Immi site http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...87-176-886.htm, are they trying to fast track for those applicants that falls in the aforementioned category? Please advise if anyone has more information about it, thanks.
Arshad
Hi thanks for the list. I am just checking, does the immigration go through the VISA by the date or month? I am VISA 886 and May 2009. And I saw that someone in April and June 2009 already has a CO. So how does that work? Do I need to call them up and check on mine? They generally process various classes of visas parallel to each other, while some are not done at all until it suits them. they are supposed to go date wise but we have seen great inconsistency in this and some people have been lucky to get COs and grants faster than those who applied earlier. Allocation and grant is somewhat random. i guess you should call / send email, especially when the website allocation date shows that yours has arrived. But as you are 866-FS, you will have to wait as they are taking time, but you can hope for some good news before july. or maybe, the new update that people have posed, might mean something earlier, lets wait till someone decipher it or get any info about it come an agent or CO, or Gagan, our reliable source. Note: I have added everyones details on the FS list as asked

GAGAN what are your thoughts. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/state-territory-nominated-visas-475-487-176-886.htm Thanks This is a totally pointless and time-wasting announcement. We all know we can climb the ladder if our occupation is on the list - Trouble is almost all of us in Cat 5 have had their occupations removed from the lists a long time ago. Seems, they will try almost anything to withhold from their obligation to finally process Cat 5. I personally am flabbergasted how DIAC has treated my application since 2008. Because of their 'unfair' attitude it makes me think twice about going to Oz!!!!!!!! I mean, I've been only waiting for over 4 years now....

Roper
My file is in security check... Does anyone know how long it will take? My CO says its not in his hand and he can't give any timeframe. From what I have heard it can take between 6 months to 1.5 years but I guess it all depends on what country you're from and your individual Circumtances. So yours could be quicker. Hery
Hi guys, I thought this is good news. After march 2013, we will be processed... According to the website. How fast we don't know, I'm not waiting for that to happen will try ielts ASAP. 886 to 885. but after march 2013, surely diac will process FS. So Gagan prediction/info is spot on!!! Thanks for the info Gagan. Finally, there will be some movement. I knew I have a slight feeling we FS might be processed in 2013. Front loaded everything again in 12/12. hopefully the majority of us FS get COs in 2013!!! Fingers crossed!!!
raychow
[h=3]If you do not have an approved nomination[/h]Your application will be processed after 31 March 2013. We need to review each application and the information you have provided regarding your nomination. If you have not been contacted by a visa processing officer about your application by 31 March 2013, you should do one of the following: Good news for

Yes they talking about886 SS but most of them already done but DIAC wanted to make sure all of them finish before they start any other lower subclass. Kazzarazza
Yes they talking about886 SS but most of them already done but DIAC wanted to make sure all of them finish before they start any other lower subclass. That's what I thought too saras712. I also read it that the balance of 475/186/886 etc, which will only be family sponsored, actually now have a start date of 31st March - exactly as Gagan predicted
sunnyaimshigh
You're absolutely correct. No new information in this it seems. Just different wording. Ok fellows, this announcement is for those people like me, who were kept on hold by DIAC due to form 1100 issue which occured last year in march, now what they are saying is that they can also accept the letter of approval from state instead of form 1100, which state govt authorities were not sending to DIAC on time. so what we are hoping is that all those pending cases from last year are now going to get processed (around 7000 applications ) by 31 march and if we don't get a CO for some reason then we have to send them our sponsership approval letters which we have as a proof that we were sponsered by the state. Good news for this 487 regional sponsered cat.

It is still deceiving.

It is still deceiving. Also please note guys that 885 applications have already been allocated till 20th April 2010..By end of March DIAC will easily reach 30th June 2010....All the major SOL changes occured only after 1st July 2010 hence there wouldn't have been too many 885 applications lodged after 30th June 2010. So after 30th March 2013 chances look really really bright that 886 FS will start being allocated again. The next major announcement from DIAC should be after 30th March 2013 so stay tuned guys. Good news is just around the corner now. The new Family quota will also start from 1st July 2013 so I would expect to see atleast all the 886 being finished up by end of this year. Josh78
Any good news - CO allocated or PR approvals??? It's a shame that it takes 15 days to process 5 days worth of applications as per last update!!
