Hi All My application was in security check since January 2013 but finally I was granted PR today. i am cat 5 885 April 2010 applicant. Very happy and all the best everyone.

My application is still in security check and my CO has asked for passport details of my wife. does this mean that the security check is over? Its been 3 months since its gone in security check

She is under 31 and I crossed 31 before 8 months...

There is no such condition on her visa... so she can apply for further stay.

What about further tourist visa? i have 885 app pending and her name is not in the app. my app has gone for security check so don't k ow when it will be decided.

my wife is on tourist visa and she has no condition like " no further stay" Can she apply for another tourist visa or student visa? she was here on 485 and then had to go for tourist visa. Luckily she got tourist visa after 485 ended but not the tourist visa will end in another one month.

I never got any e mail ffrom my CO. He told me he can't look at my file until he gets clearance about security check and it can take mane months..

my application has gone for external security check because of my religion. You should contact ur CO and ask him what's happening. Good luck

I m in the same boat now...

We r on 485 visa. My wife is on spouse visa after i got 485 approval. I applied for 885 visa before my wife came here and thats y her name is not included in 885 application. So once my 485 visa expires next week, My wife will have no visa.

This is so frustrating for me. I am April 2010 885 Applicant and i have been alloted CO on 8th Jan but since then nothing has happened. My TR expires on 8th feb and with that my wife's visa as her name is not on 885 application. If i dont get PR by 8th then she will have to go back. Planning to apply for tourist visa on Monday but i m not sure if she will get tourist visa by 8th feb or not? any suggestion? I have already explained this to my CO twice but he doesn't care. Anybody in same situation or knows anything if i will get tourist visa for her or not? or shall i book the ticket for her ( which i dont want)?

i guess i m with team 31... no progress even after 21 days....

Don't know the team number. He has never contacted me yet. I got his number when I called IMMI..

FInally I called him today. He said he hasnt seen the file yet.. How great is that...

Still no contact and when I check online status, still no change in that as well

Hi all, i am 885 Cat 5 April 2010 online applicant. Recently I called department and someone there informed me that I have been allocated a CO but he hasn't contacted me yet. May b he is going through my papers. Does any one know how long it takes for them to contact the applicant? Its been 5 days since I spoke to them. Shall I call them again or keep on waiting?

Does anyone who applied in April 2010 for category 5 has got PR or CO? i m desperately waiting for CO ( 14th April 2010) as my visa expires next month. If i dont get PR by then, then my wife will have to go back as her name is not in my PR application.

The new update is very good news for 2010 885 applications... Who has got CO already for 2010 applications? I am April 2010 applicant. Shall I get my documents ready?
