Now we know that applications for category 5 have been allocated to case officers for upto december 2009. but what about applicants from 2010 and after. Has anyone who applied in 2010 in category 5 got case officer? I applied in April and I want to know others who applied around same time. Or do u know someone who got CO?

Hi All, I applied for a s175 app on 01/08/11 as a general accountant and and we received a CO in March 2012. During this time we were waiting for the arrival of our son and followed all the procedures (s1022 form) and were asked to complete medicals and police checks after the birth. So far everything is shown as finalised and received on our online application ut i was just starting to panic as we have not heard anything since. Does anyone know if am still treated as a category 4 and will get my grant any day or whether i am a category 5 and have to wait years! Any help would be much appreciated! we are hoping to move in April next year and want to start planning properly! Thanks all.

Hey I'm new on the forum. I just found you by googling 'Wanted down under' after getting annoyed with it! I really wish I'd found it before as there is loads of useful stuff on here. I applied with my partner for visa 176 with WA sponsorship (which makes us category 5)at the start of October. We're hoping to get our visa after 12 months and keeping our figures crossed that we get processed. No change on the website yet. Has anyone got an idea on current likely processing times? I have a query regarding the money that WA require you to transfer into the country. We are worried that we won't be able to sell our house. We should be able to rent it out though but this would mean we wouldn't have as much money to bring with us as we hoped. I have picked up on other threads that we won't have to prove that we have transfered the funds into the country. Is this true? Can someone clarify this for me. This would be a serious weight of my mind if this is true. I can't wait to get out to OZ!
