DIAC should finish all 886 up untill 30th June 2010 as a bare minimum. If next year DIAC is going to have same quota for around 12,000 for FS category then all 886s should be finished up anyways and 176s should start

No you don't...IELTS, Skill Assesment, Age points everything is locked from the day you applied for PR.. The only thing you have to redo is Medical and Police Clearence

I mean seriously..ONSHORE APPLICANTS cant be CEASED...yes they can be CAPPED but no they can be CEASED..there is no retrospective LEGISLATION for that....GOVT did try to pass a legislation back in 2010-11 and all the Grp 5 onshore people would already be aware of this...but it got SCRAPPED.... GOVT did capped and ceased arnd 15,000 applicants pre 2008 for offshore applicants..so yes OFFSHORE applicants are always vulnerable as LEGISLATION has the power to cap and cease them. SO please stop with this NONSENSE and dont spread this around.... If any Offshore candidates have any concern I would humbly request them to take it to the other 175/176 group in Pomz in Oz as this is a Onshore Applicants group.

Cap and Cease is only applicable for Offshore applicants..For onshore applicants there is no such legislation

Anu..book your Medical ASAP and get your AFP and Indian PCC asap as well...If you haven't been allocated with CO yet, you will any day any time now..You can call DIAC just to confirm like SARAS did.
