176 lodged May 2011 Gang

Recommended Posts

Hi Jo,

We are team 4 and we were granted our CO on 7th June. We have uploaded everything except our meds which are next week. Like everyone else, we keep checking the progress of visa and every document is still required. Also in terms of our medicals (ehealth) I read on here that to check that you where on the ehealth system. So I telephoned Edinburgh today and it is only Ricky that they have any record of. I uploaded our medical appointments time/dates ect on 6th June, am I being silly in thinking that our CO would have made the connection and uploaded our info to the ehealth system. Anyway I was advised by the lovely Jennifer in Edinburgh to email our CO and ask her to upload us onto the system, so hopefully she does this by next week. Getting a bit anxious again lol.

Gillian

Thanks Gillian for the reply, think we are goign to try and ring tonight, we def want to be on the ehealth system so got to make sure we are on there but to be honest havent got a clue where/who i would i ask so hopefully our co will help. we are team 2 by the way got our co 14th. i am thinking that no news is good news and you never know could have our visa granted next week if they are speedy with our meds!

Hi there Pedley. We also lodged at the same time... No CO yet. It's driving me & my husband crazy with worry. Some CO's sound fab whilst others sound very slow..... Think we r the latter!!! :( It certainly plays havoc with ur mentality or what. My nerves are shredded!!

PC'S should b wi us by 27th June and our med's r booked 30th June....... Cannot wait till that's ovr..... It's madness what u worry bout.

Best of luck. Pls let me know how u get on.

Lins

Hi Linsey, yes it is very nerve racking just wish they would update the tracking to put all our minds at rest, least then we wouldnt have to ring them! Think we are going to stay up for a bit now and ring in a little while, hopefully speak to our co. Will let you know how we get on at meds on thursday. Fingers crossed you get a co soon!

Hi LexyLou,

The issue with eHealth not showing everyone happened to us and despite requests to upload our kids to eHealth they just didn't appear (a glitch apparently). But the difference between ours and our kids (whose meds had to couried) being finalised was a matter of days.... So for us it wasn't a biggie.

Good luck with the meds... Nearly there!!!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I have just emailed our CO asking her to put me and the kids onto the ehealth system, not sure if she will do this as she hasn't changed any of our documents to met yet. As you say another few days for courier service, who am I trying to kid I am desparte to resign from my job and get those flights booked lol.

Jo, I am the same I wish they would bl**dy update the tracking system as the longer it goes on the more anxiou you become.

Hi Jo,

I telephoned the place in Edinburgh where we are going and gave the admin girl our TRN number and she checks the system for you. So give Maidenhead a call in the morning, good luck.

I asked my Agent about this as mine still show as "Documents Required". Apparently this is manually changed on the system by the Case Officer and whilst some do it straight away others don't, so time to change from Documents Required" to “Met” can vary. The agent did say however, that CO's don't generally ask for Meds and Police Checks if there is any unsatisfactory areas of the initial application e.g. work experience, or that further documents are required. So in essence she said it’s fairly safe to say that if you are asked for your Meds and Police Checks, everything you have submitted so far is ok. Agent then said that everything is reviewed once again for a final check once Meds and Police checks are received.

Thanks for that info. Fingers crossed all our documents are ok then. I still haven't quite finished the form 80.

Heading out to Oz on a 457 business sponsor on the 28th June so unless the 176 is mega quick, we're going to have to leave Oz for a week to get the visa granted anyway! Bit of a pain but all worth it in the end!

Good luck everyone!

Got the magical call from our agent today. We have our visa!! Can't believe it! Kindly turn up PURPLE!!!! Yippee!!! That means when we enter Oz next Tuesday it will be on our 176 visa so we won't need to leave for it to be granted now! One less thing to worry about!!

Good luck everyone, they seem to be processing so quickly at the moment so hopefully it won't be long.
