First of all be aware that most companies specify in the small print that you must be AU resident, so no good for those of us on 600 visas. I found one company which doesn't specify this - budget direct, and their quotes are also very competitive. Also be aware that all companies seem to discriminate against new arrivals. Again, in the small print, it says that for those who have not held an AU drivers licence for at least 2 years then they are liable for an extra excess (around 800$, so no small amount) in the event of a claim. Congratulations to all who have had visa grants and to all those who have had documents requested. It's great to such movement after the incredibly slow progress of 2014. Also, thanks to the posts on health insurance, very informative. It's great to hear from so many recently so I thought it was about time I sent a post even though I think OH and I have sometime to go.
