Struggling to function! Benn just landed in Perth this morning and I miss him dreadfully. I hate all this waiting! I could have so got on that flight with him yesterday. :sad:

 

How long do you think till you will be there with him approx? My partner goes in a March. I processed my application in September and time frame is 10-14 months. I'm dreading him going! [emoji53]

Hi everybody,

 

We just had our 309 visa granted in just under 8 months! My partner (applicant) is a UK citizen and I am the Australian sponsor. Our timeline is below:

 

Applied: 14 May 2015

CO Assigned: 25 Jun

 

Medical: 18 November 2015

Police Check: 24 November 2015

Granted: 6 January 2015

 

Throughout the entire process we didn't hear from our CO once. We received a few automatically generated e-mails and that's it. Our application was processed and granted in very quick time for some reason. We uploaded our documents very carefully and grouped relative categories (e.g. bank statements) into one large .pdf in order to help our CO read it all. It also maximises the amount that can be uploaded (I believe it is 60 documents, each with a max file size of 5MB).

 

Thank you to everybody on here for all your advice and guidance along the way.

Woops incorrectly uploaded my Police Check under Penal Certificate not Police Clarence. Have since uploaded under the correct sub heading and emailed them !

 

Hope it does not delay. I can see from my emedical details that they are actually processing a spouse 100 visa so fingers crossed I can bypass the 309 stage (meet the criteria for being married for more than 3 years prior to lodging)

Can I ask of those that have been allocated CO's does your status change on immi? - as in does it change to application in process? We also remain CO'less... (Unloved and destitute... I understand people go through this without contact from CO if no further information is required for application). On immi it still says 'application received' - does that mean it's still pondering its future and the application is still yet to be touched? Has anybody's acct changed status and not been contacted by a CO?

 

On a purely selfish level can those with a CO hurry up and get your grants sorted:wink: so those without can feel the love :biglaugh:. May we have a few more grants please.

Haha! Yeah, saw that you were the only one! Hope yours is going well.

All straight forward so far, just waiting for my Spanish police check to arrive then all paper work complete unless I get told otherwise. Visas have been granted at a good time so fingers crossed that will continue :wink:

We had our 309/100 visa granted Friday. We applied online 16th June 2015, medicals submitted in December and police check only submitted on the 6th January 2016. Visa granted 8th January 2016, a lot faster than we originally thought it would be .. In all that time we never had any contact with a CO.

Wow that is fantastic, I'm almost on the same time line as you 12th june applicate,meds Dec,unloaded police 9th Jan, I wasn't expecting to hear for months but now I'm more hopefully. Congratulations!

Last year we were told the timings for my husbands visa would be around 9 months. Called again before Christmas to confirm and were told it has now increased to 12-15 months!

The visa company we are using advised him to enter on a tourist visa and apply for a bridging visa and permanent visa once we are there. Otherwise I would be over there alone for quite a long time.

Im Australian and my Husband is British.
