  1. Hi SandyBlueMountains, The last entry date is November 2016 (roughly 10 months from the date of grant). Cheers, B
  2. Hi everybody, We just had our 309 visa granted in just under 8 months! My partner (applicant) is a UK citizen and I am the Australian sponsor. Our timeline is below: Applied: 14 May 2015 CO Assigned: 25 June 2015 Medical: 18 November 2015 Police Check: 24 November 2015 Granted: 6 January 2015 Throughout the entire process we didn't hear from our CO once. We received a few automatically generated e-mails and that's it. Our application was processed and granted in very quick time for some reason. We uploaded our documents very carefully and grouped relative categories (e.g. bank statements) into one large .pdf in order to help our CO read it all. It also maximises the amount that can be uploaded (I believe it is 60 documents, each with a max file size of 5MB). Thank you to everybody on here for all your advice and guidance along the way. Cheers, B
  3. Hi guys, A few quick questions based on my partner and I applying online: 1) My partner and I are writing personal statements but we are not using the Statutory Declaration form - do we need to have this typed-up statement/document witnessed or can we submit it online without any witness? I cannot find anywhere that tells me that we need it witnessed. NB. All our birth certificates and family's 'Form 888's' have been witnessed and certified. 2) Submitting the passport-sized photos of the applicant and the sponsor - Is this supposed to be scanned in and submitted online, or do we have to post them? 3) Is there an option during the online application to provide a signature for those documents requiring one, and how is this done? Basically, we want to have everything organised before we start the online application. Can anybody provide a thorough overview of the online application process? i.e. any problems, hints or tips and/or anything you weren't expecting to be in the online application. Thank you all so much and forgive my ignorance! B
  4. Thanks for getting back to me! That must have been extremely frustrating for you both. I think there'll be enough information for us, even though we have only had a joint account for a few months. Prior to the joint account I was having my salary paid into my partner's (applicant) account, which is the same account which now has both our names on it. This account shows rent being paid and a lot of activity for travel and daily expenses etc. I know what you mean about not being aware of visa requirements during the earlier stages of a relationship! Fingers crossed I guess
  5. Hi there, how many witnesses do you need to 'witness' the Form 888 Statutory Dec? Most sites/official documents allude to 'a person', which would mean one witness; however there was a document on the immi site that said you needed two witnesses! We just received our completed Form 888's from family members in Australia with only one witness (a Justice of the Peace). Is this sufficient and how many did you have? Cheers!! B
  6. Hi guys, another question.. My partner (applicant from UK) and I are looking to apply online for the Offshore Partner Visa (309/100) in the next couple of weeks. Is there a limit to the amount/size of documents/photos you can attach in the online application form? The reasons I ask is that we have about 100 documents and photographs (each around 5MB max) that need to be attached and didn't want to be caught out at the last minute having to decide which ones to cull if there was in fact a size limit. I understand there is a 14 day window to submit everything. Does anybody have anything relevant to share regarding my question or the whole online application process itself? Thanks a lot! B
  7. What financial information was missing in your first application that resulted in a denied visa?
  8. Thanks for the quick reply and useful info! Does that mean that when we submit our application online that ALL supporting documents have to be uploaded online or can we send them in separately via post? If it is all online that would mean we would need to print out documents to get them witnessed and certified, then scan them back into the computer. Is this what other people have done? Cheers
  9. Hi everybody, Firstly, thank you for this forum, which I've read through briefly but am seeking clarification on a few things. Brief background: I am an Australian-born citizen and my partner is British. We met online in late 2012 as I was looking for new friends before coming to UK on a study visa. We met in January 2013 and have been dating since then. We have lived together since March 2013 in both London and Sydney (she came on a working holiday visa in mid-2013 when my study visa in UK ran out and I had to come back to Sydney). We have a joint-bank account in which we pay rent/bills for a property in which we are joint tenants. Previous to this we were living as a couple in mine, then her parents house respectively. We will be applying for a Partner Visa (309/100). Question 1: Regarding the application process, if we apply online will it prompt us to send the documents after we've completed the application? Is there an option to just send everything into the processing department or is it recommended to apply online? Question 2: We will be submitting 2 (or hopefully 3) statutory declarations on "form 888" from Australian citizens (my parents and sister) - is this sufficient? Additionally, we will submit brief statements from my partner's family who are all British citizens - do these need to be signed by a solicitor or is it ok to just print and send? Are there any other tips/hints that we should be aware of? I have to leave UK (as I am currently on a 2 yr working holiday (tier 5) visa) in August 2016 so hopefully there's enough time to have it processed and approved by that time. Cheers, B
