I submitted my 309/100 application in London on 8 October 2014. CO = WP

Police check submitted 6 May 2015. I undertook the medical at this time in Knightsbridge and assume the results were sent directly through.

Our baby was born in February 2015 and he has citizenship by descent and now an Australian passport. I updated the CO about this in August 2015 via email, and received an email back to say that "your partner visa application is currently being processed".

I haven't heard anything further since then. We're not in any mad rush to move to Australia so I haven't been chasing, and also the initial letter said that the processing times were 10-14 months. I haven't been looking on this forum recently until today, and have seen that other people are getting their visas in 9 or 10 months. Has anyone recently had as long a delay as mine? (i.e. nearly 14 months)? We haven't got any complicated circumstances I don't think - I'm a UK citizen, husband is from Adelaide, we've been married since 2011 and living in London all that time, and as mentioned now have a 9 month old baby. No issues from the police checks or medical.

I've emailed them today anyway and will await their response ....

So I've now spoken to Australia House and it turns out my visa was granted on 7 August 2015. I didn't receive any email or letter so this is all quite funny! I had an email from them on 4th August but nothing subsequently. Very weird. Anyway ... another success

Congrats!!! Lucky you didn't have a short window for entry. Are they extending it?

Great to see the latest people in the grid getting their visas in 7-9 months. Congratulations! Can I ask those people - what were the estimated times stated when you applied? We were told 10-14 months when we applied in Sept.

I was quoted 10-14 the same as you.

Partner visa (subclass 309/subclass 100 lodged 02/04/2015, CO (VF) allocated 06/05/2015. Police ACRO Check completed 24/09/2015, Medical Check completed 01/10/2015, currently completing a C100 removal from jurisdiction for my Stepson, looking to locate to Melbourne Berwick area with my family of five in early 2016.

Thanks for the congrats. I haven't asked for them to extend it as we are able to plan a quick visit there before 1st May - husband needs a fix of the surf and our baby needs to meet his grandparents! oh and I was granted the 100 visa - permanent residency - which is great.

I was told 10-14 months when they initially received my application and it was granted in 10 months.

Updated again with new information since last post.....

(also deleted application details pre 2015 - to see previous ones it was posted 18/11/15 page 1278 - http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/58449-summary-spouse-visa-processing-times-offshore-uk-please-add-your-stats-1278.html).

If there are any mistakes, please let me know. Also any more info to go in, please let me know - there are quite a few gaps. Thanks

Hi Tracy. Good to see someone carrying this list on. I was granted the 100 visa, so delighted not to have to wait the extra period. We have now applied for a mortgage and have been told by the broker that it wouldn't have mattered if I was on a 100, or a 309, or even the 457 that I'm on at the moment. Commonwealth Bank are happy as long as we've got the 20% deposit and a salary coming in on a permanent contract. But the 100 was the icing on the cake ?

Well, here you go - I've just been contacted and approved. Much earlier than expected (I've been bargaining on February). I'm in Australia at the moment - the system knows - and will be awarded the visa while I'm on a business trip in two weeks.

UK time, I was (almost) contacted first thing on 1 December.

Those are the options pretty much. Although check the Aus Indian HC website for more info on off shore partner visa http://india.highcommission.gov.au/ndli/Visas_and_Migration.html and http://india.highcommission.gov.au/ndli/vm0311.html

And then on shore https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/801- I would assume work rights are given on the bridging visa as it states this in the info, but double check with a reputable MARA registered migration agent to be certain.

Pretty exciting evening! Our CO called me in the middle of my shopping, just to clarify something I emailed him about yesterday. Almost didn't answer it, not keen on answering numbers I don't know, but glad I did! Our visa application is up to date and if it wasn't for the fact that our wedding is booked for next November, he could have granted real soon! A bit gutted BUT I have a time frame now of exactly how long I have left and we can finally book my flight! ? So the April countdown is on!!

For those who have already been successful (congratulations!!!!!) and were immediately granted the 100 subclass visa (bypassing the 309 stage) - did you have any specific conversations with your case officers about this in advance? Myself and husband have been together 11 years, married, baby on the way and hoping he will go straight to the 100, however not sure if we should be initiating this conversation or just let the process play its course? Thanks in advance
