Visa granted today!!! Just under 10 months for us... Straight to a subclass 100. Hearts were pounding opening the email!! We had to obtain an Australian Police Certificate (in addition to the UK one) unexpectantly - that was uploaded on 19th Jan and three days later, voila!! Good luck to all those still waiting... Patience is a virtue And now, champagne.

For those who have already been successful (congratulations!!!!!) and were immediately granted the 100 subclass visa (bypassing the 309 stage) - did you have any specific conversations with your case officers about this in advance? Myself and husband have been together 11 years, married, baby on the way and hoping he will go straight to the 100, however not sure if we should be initiating this conversation or just let the process play its course? Thanks in advance

Hi all, My husband is English (I'm Australian with a dual Australia / British passport). We've been together 10 years and submitted our application for a 309/100 partner visa on 30 March 2015 (full details in signature) - all going well so far and would be great to add our details to this forum - hopefully will be approved in the next few months! Quick question - I'm now 5 months pregnant (baby due in February) - has anyone been in a similar situation and do we need to let the CO / application know of this change in circumstance yet? We don't have an official dependent yet so from what I understand we wouldn't submit a change in circumstance until he is actually born - but wanted to check in case anyone had any additional info or experience. Thanks in advance !

Hi all, my English husband has just submitted his 309/100 visa application online (hooray - we have finally done it!). As his Australian wife, I now need to submit the 40SP form as his sponsor. From those who have been through the process, should I / can I do this directly through his immi.gov.au account, or should I set up a new account specifically for me and then attach the document to his profile? The website appears to let me start processing through his account but I don't want to get anything wrong that could delay us. Sorry for being a novice ! Thanks in advance.

Just found information that you will be provided with an "initial entry date" to enter Australia by. Can anyone give an indication of how long these tend to be? 1 month, 6 months, 12 months? Thanks again!!

Hi, Have scrawled through multiple threads but unable to find the answer to this question. My husband (English) will shortly be applying for a provisional subclass 309 Visa to start the process of moving back to Australia (I'm Australian). We are hoping to move back in May 2016 but want to ensure we have plenty of time to get the visa processed etc. I recognise the processing time varies for everyone, but once approved, does anyone know how long you have to move back to Oz? Is there a time limit for getting out there or could we happily wait a year or so with the Visa in hand while still living in the Uk? Any guidance would be much appreciated ! Thanks
