Cupidmi
Hi everyone, I have got a question, I am holding the RSMS187,and I have been working there for years, do I need to stay for another two years after visa granted? There are several answers I have heard. For yes, 1. The contract couldnt be changed (need be same salary and position as your nomination) 2. The contract can be changed 3. Can be part time/casual just need to stay in the same company For no, 1. Still need to stay just for another six months 2. Better still stay in the regional areas 3. Only can stay the regional area where you nomination for next two years 4. Doesnt matter, will be fine Can everyone share their suggestions from their agents or experience please, I am confused. Garry-88
Hello everyone, many 186 applicants are getting email from nsw pese to update thier medical and Afp. It can be auto generated email from department and it also say you case officer will be allocate shortly. Is anyone got same email who applied 187 visa. It is so annoying department is processing 186 so quickly but we still have to wait 24 month sometime more, hopefully this month they will reduce the processing time. Jonjo
Hi, I am new to this, but have been observing without commenting. I applied for 187 in May 2018 (application submitted) All Medicals done in June 2018 (requested by Immi) Nomination Approved in April 2019 Request for AFP certificates last week. We received an email this week stating that our application was being processed for assessment? Does this look positive? Hi, did you ask the immigration if they received your documents or not? Or have you received any information from your boss? I applied October 2016 and I’m still waiting for a decision. On 10/03/2019, My boss has an bad issue in the immigration. I have looked for help from accredited specialist. But not sure about the result. I totally understand your situation. Very stressful everyday. But you need to ask your boss if your boss has something wrong. All the best to us.

TIA I don't think immi will take any action as it clearly says that they will expect you to stay for 2 years in nominated position but it's not a mandatory . Once you are PR without having any condition. I don't think it will have a problem unless u provide mislead info. But if your employer take objection on your decision then immi might give you notice to clarify the reason of leaving .

TIA Hi Tia, I know you've heard many answers and they all are right in some way. What I can tell you for sure from my friends experience is that he was working as a Chef in ACT since 2015 and his employer sponsored him in 2017 got his PR in Oct 2018. After that he had a fall out with the employer and got another job in ACT his employer reported him to immigration for quiting, immigration didn't take any action on him. (This is a practical answer) Now based on theoretical answers: You are not supposed to leave your employer for the 2yrs after your visa is granted, but the employer can terminate you based on any reason. Even after you get terminated you still need to stay in the nominated regional state that you have been sponsored unless you can prove to immigration that you can't find employment (this gets a little tricky coz you need to inform immigration why you are leaving the state) The employer generally doesn't inform immigration unless they are really revengeful and want to screw you over. Under these circumstances immigration will consider how long you have worked for the employer (my understanding is that anything close to 3years immigration will not even contact you) how cancellation of your visa is going to affect you and your family. Lastly immigration doesn't cancel any visa's without giving you a chance to explain. So as long as you live in the same regional state and work for any other employer you should be fine. But what about the previous work period with the same employer. In most of the cases let's say TRT people are already with the employer for more than 3 years and working in regional areas hence for immi dept they already been working more than 2 years though 8ts clearly stated that we have to live in regional areas after the visa grant. Yes I guess that's the reason why immigration didn't take any action on my friend as he was working for the previous employer for over 3 years...(time before getting sponsored and time after getting sponsored). My friend was not through TRT though he was working with his 485(post-study work).
