Hi fellows.

Does anybody know if there's any difference applying through migration agent or applying by yourself?

Talking with my former teacher, he mentioned that they might assess application from MA rather than self lodged...

I did all the process by myself, nomination and visa. Nomination was approved in approx 6 months (applied 1/08/17 approved 07/02/18)

Visa applied after nomination grant on 12/02/18 and obviously still show as received.

Would immigration prioritize files applied with MA over self application?

My visa is not finalized yet but the nomination had been approved. And this is based on my experience as well.

From what I gather, there is no difference in processing speed. Just that if you have a good MA, they can make sure you submit everything and make sure everything is up to date so that when a CO sees your file, they can immediately approve it.

I did my application myself, and my nomination was approved after approx 8 month but I have forgotten to update my police record, which expired a month ago. This may have resulted in the CO not able to approve both.

So I think there is no difference with or without MA. As long as you are careful and keep everything up to date.

Hi Everybody,

I have a question.

For medical test do we need to have a bar code or number ,where should we get that? Our agent said CO will ask to load it after

Thanks

In your immiaccount page, you can request this. This number needs to be sent to the medical test clinic.

The results should automatically be uploaded by the medical test clinic

That's what I thought as well.

And with both of your experiences, show that, most likely, there's no priority.

Thanks.

Hi All,

Yesterday our 186 (TRTS from the old 457) visas were granted. We submitted the nomination and visa application through a registered MA in early Feb 2018 so its taken just over 9 months which is in line with the official advice at the time which said that the visa were taking 8-9 months to process. So if you applied around the same time don't stress too much about the current processing times of 15+ months.

Its weird because I checked the Immi account on Wednesday and the status still said "Received" and then suddenly the following day it was "Finalised" and the visas were granted.

Congrats @Diamond Nine my MA said it is taking 8 to 9 months irrespective of what they are showing the processing times on their website. They are usually on papers. But they are not that slow because this subclass is priority 2.

I applied one day before you (6th Feb) and got my visa one day before you - so the processing time is consistent at least!

Hey, did your company sponsor many people on 457? Im curious as to why they were so suspicious even after their visit. 5 officers would be so intimidating!
@RP007 you too?

not much .. my company has sponsored 3 people and all of them had successfully acquired PR. I am not sure why they are suspecting so much..... It's been over 3 months after their visit and my employer submitted all requested documents as well.. still no response.

After 4 month with the nomination  approved , we sent again de police checks. We didn´t have any answer from inmigration for 4 month!.We complained to our inmigration agent and she contacted with the case officer, but the case officer didn´t come back from his holidays(4month ago) and nobody took our case...what a joke! So we have a new case officer who asked for statutory declaration two weeks ago and still waiting. 18 month waiting for our 186 DE marketing specialist. Simply they don´t care anything...sad reallity!

Were u convicted of any crime anywhere

My case is quite different , I have submitted my health check last Nov. Due to my wife's pregnancy ,she can't do the X-ray check.

After our baby's birth ,I have applied the passport for her in April this year.

This July CO added my daughter to the applicants and asked the health check for my wife and my daughter.

Meanwhile I have also updated police clearance for my wife and me in April due to one-year-validation.
