bonza2211
Originally planned on applying in January 13 and after many different delays I'm happy that my Lawyer filed the ENS186-Transition Nomination yesterday. Apparently the NEW (July2013) DIAC portal allows only upto 10 documents to be uploaded. So he managed to get an email address and he was told to submit the documents there. ALSO THERE IS NO OPTION TO INDICATE DRC - Decision Ready?! Thats ridiculous. Finger's crossed and hoping for the best, my file is extremely thorough and straight forward. Good luck to all, will update as I know anything. Visa: ENS 186 Occupation: Marketing Specialist Method: 186, Transition Stream (Unsure if DIAC is acknowledging DRC or not, fingers crossed!) bonza2211
Thanks for that. I'm not sure if you can reveal where in the process or at what stage that question/drop down shows up. I'm not quite sure what may have occurred with mine in that case @Raul, have you done a 186 Visa application under the new software portal as well? Im just wondering if the wording and the dropdown appears the same, I'd like to advise the agent of that. From a 186 Nomination application lodged on line today. Raul Senise
Thanks for that. I'm not sure if you can reveal where in the process or at what stage that question/drop down shows up. It is part of the Migration Agent details section. @Raul, have you done a 186 Visa application under the new software portal as well? Im just wondering if the wording and the dropdown appears the same, I'd like to advise the agent of that. Yes, I have done many. All ENS applications since 1 July 2012 have been under the new (e plus) electronic lodgment system.

SparkSSJ
Geez, two months have passed and still no update yet. Maybe should I call directly to DIAC, not through agent? Some people say I call DIAC and tell them my passport number then they can inform me the progress. Sigh- Edited August 12, 2013 by SparkSSJ
Chaz06013
Hi All, Just an update from a client officer at immi. I called immigration on 1300 number to see where application was at. No case officer allocated as of yet, advised that they are currently allocating May 13 applications. Also enquired if they have received all medical results with application as Medibank Health Services (MHS) sent direct to The processing office. We are a family of four. However, it's only showing my husband and eldest son's results as uploaded but not for me and youngest son. MHS advised that the latter medicals were sent to immigration since baby did not have his own passport and was linked to mine. Would this be a problem, as on delay when CO is allocated? Still awaiting passport for baby from home country. Am worried now even though not still a long way to go yet.....
bonza2211
The information they requested is they main portion of that the entire nomination and visa requirements are based upon. What kind of information did you submit to prove the 1% costs related to training? Good luck! Biggy
Hi Guys Below is my time line: Visa: ENS 186 Occupation: Hardware Technician Method: 186, Transition Stream DRC Location: Parammatta Timeline: Applied for Nomination - 13/6/13 Nomination Granted - pending Applied for 186 Visa - pending Case Officer Assigned - Assigned on 12/08/2012 for nomination and requested for additional information( Profit & Loss Statement for the most recently concluded fiscal year Evidence of training expenditures to the sum of 1% of gross payroll for each year during the validity period of the SBS sponsorship ) Visa Grant - pending Should I be worried about additional information request? Hi eswarpisces, I don't think it should be a problem for your employer to provide the profit & loss statement. However, I have been going through the same problem regarding meeting the training benchmark. If you know your employer has been investing in training for his Australian employees and meets the 1% of payroll, this will suffice. My employer has no training in effect with his company and is having to meet the training benchmark 'A' 2% of payroll, which he is donating to Tafe Institute to meet this requirement. It is also possible that the 1%, training benchmark 'B' can be met if your employer has evidence to show an auditable plan to meet the requirements without the training being delivered within the 28 day period that immigration give you. This auditable plan is also available for company's that have been trading for less than 12 months. I have info. on all this that I could attach here if it is possible to do so??? tomabbie
Very fed up today, spoke to DIAC today and they reckon its taking 6-8 months for a CO to be allocated for the 186. Wasn't sure wether they meant from initial employer nomination or my application and were very short with me on phone wouldn't tell me where my application was at. If its from employer nomination (28.3.2013; approval 18.6.2013; visa application 13.7.2013) then I don't have long to wait but if its from my application on 13.7.2013, have still got a long wait ahead :-(. So much for being in an in demand profession (midwife). Hoping they are wrong because reading this timeline it seems some people's are much quicker. In my experience if someone is short with you on the phone, it's usually because they are extremely busy and their facts are often incorrect. I called my migration agent yesterday to see if she had spotted any trends recently and she did say that she had noticed things had slowed down. However, she has had regional applications approved that were put in around the same time as my app (July 19th 2013). She said it seems that they are giving preference to regional areas before the cities. I asked her if she had a date in mind for mine to come through and she said she's hoping for early September. My original application started in March too so we're both in the same boat.
eswarpisces
Hi Biggy, thanks for the reply...i have all the info, i guess my company meets the 1% Training benchmark A. No idea on the case officer question...no one else ever seems to say either. I'm not even sure how useful logging in to check the status is either to be honest. It seems to be that once people get their visas approved they disappear, and we are left with our unanswered questions haha. My timeline... nomination approved already (did it separately) Application submitted decision ready by MA 17/6/13 CO?? grant?? Mine says in progress too, has done for weeks. I don't think that means anything. Edited August 16, 2013 by Amigo1 Extra bit added
