Que Sera Sera
I spend a lot of time outdoors working all year round. I need sunscreen on my face but every time I use sunscreen I get spots on my face? Can anyone recommend one?
thinker78
yes- nivea all day (small white bottle with blue top) factor 30 but designed for faces and necks. use it under my make up in summer each day= no grease, very light, really good. bit pricey but have had cancer removed on my face so don't care about the money now! MARYROSE02
Maybe there is a 'special' brand for people with medical issues related to the usual brands? I like Nivea too, and usually go for factor 50, being over-anxious, though not so anxious I was not in the park indulging in the winter sun today. starlight7
Quite a lot of makeup also has built-in sunscreen these days. If you wear it might be worth checking the label.
BasiaUK
I use Sun Sense Daily Face SPF50+ Invisible tint finish....it's apparently made and tested in Australia. Occasionally I use Clinique SPF50+ Face block when I'm feeling flush, lol! Both are great.

Kapri
I use Natio Ageless moisturiser, with factor 30, for day to day use.
Que Sera Sera
I do use moisturiser with SPF but its not enough I still get caught even in winter. I don't want to accelerate the aging process anymore
LKC
I use Dermalogica Solar Defense booster. It goes in your moisturiser (for less than SPF50) or directly on the skin for the maximum protection. I have never noticed it break me out with spots, and I do have pretty sensitive and acne prone skin.
MovingtoTasmania
This is definitely something that I need to think of for the daughters. I'm very worried about youngest daughter as she is so white, she makes milk look tanned. Does an SPF50 completely block the sun? Sorry, I'm not sure how these sunblocks work, I've never burnt and ashamed to say I've never used them. When it's hot over here, I just buy a bottle of sun tan lotion and slather it on the girls but the oldest is like me and just gets darker but the youngest just stays pale. HappyHeart
Clinique do a lovely product called City Block which is spf 40 I think? Like a sheer tinted moisturiser and doesnt make you all shiny like a cream.

Don't worry its so geared up here for children, you'll find so much choice, and no one bats an eyelind at kids on the beach covered from head to toe if necessary. Lindor
I use Clinique City Block, and a hat! It is 40 SPF. My sister bought it for me when I first moved to Perth. On my 3rd tube now!
Irishgirl1
I never use sun screen on my face I just were big hats lol. If you get a good hat I think you would be fine with a moisturiser with SPF x

VERYSTORMY
I work outdoors a lot in my job as well - often in the desert. I find the nivea kids ones to be the best and most gentle on the skin.
Echidna66
Dont use any sunscreen and never have..Just cover up from the sun..Sunscreen does more harm than good with all the dangerous chemicals in them, and where do these chemicals go, through your skin into your bloodstream and then into your liver and other organs..would have to be mad to use them.. I do use sunscreen, but I prefer not to. Not too worried about the chemicals. I just don't like the feel of it. I wear a good hat and only wear it if I'm stationary, like watching a sporting event. My kids and wife are allergic and try to restrict their use. (Haven't ever seen the kids so brown as this year in the UK)
