My waiting time will be 3 weeks tomorrow. But I haven't heard anything at all from the MA-is no news good news?

I always like to work from the point of view that no news is good news! Also, the lady has said it is an average of 4 weeks and things are taking a bit of extra time at the moment because so many people tried to get their applications in before the new costs kicked in.

hi, i lodged my visa on 31st may, had medical on 3rd june and medical results sent on 10th june. i am a nurse, also going on 457 visa. so its about 4weeks since my medical results were sent and i havent heard anything yet. my case officer has said that they are still waiting for medical to be finalised. they have had a lot of applications recently as people were trying to get everything in before 1st july deadline, so they have a huge backlog. i am fed up waiting now. i was originally meant to start on 15th july and was hoping to fly out on 30th june but have had to postpone start date to 5th august, so i really hope the visa is through soon. good luck to everyone. jess x

Seems like forever, we will be living in Perth so excited! We haven't used an anger we have done the application ourselves!! Anyway did anyone else have to wait this long for nomination? (Employer already sponsors people)

hi, i had to wait 6weeks for the sponsorship/nomination to be granted. my employers are a large hospital in melbourne so have also sponsored people before. my only advice is keep contacting employers to see where sponsorship/nomination is up to. you have still got a wait once sponsorship/nomination is through, ive been waiting 5weeks since i lodged my visa. so not pleased i have been waiting 11wks in total, very frustated. hope its sorted for you soon. jess x

My nomination was approved in 1 week but been 3.5 weeks since submitted visa application and that's still saying processing commenced :-(, Medicals were finalised day after being done. Doesn't look like they are getting through applications very fast though.

Still no news... I really hope to get the good news soon. Have anyone spoken with their case officer to get the update about their application .. If yes please let me know. Congratulations to ones who have already got visa and good luck to the rest who is waiting ...

I spoke to my MA today, he's based in Melbourne and specialises in this, he's heard nothing do far in relation to our case : ((

Thank you for you information. I have been thinking of ringing my CO but worried whether this is going to affect on my application..

I wouldn't think so. If you stalked them, they might put it to the bottom of the pile (or worse if you physically stalk them!!) but it won't harm your case to ask for an update!

Same situation as you, and I lodged my Nomination at 6 June. It's more than 4 weeks still no any reply.
