  1. Good luck for today people. I joined this forum Wednesday morning and got my PR Wednesday afternoon. It's a shame I didn't join earlier. I will be checking in on all your progress though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. granted - this morning it said received but when I left work it changed to finalised.
  3. I don't think it should be locked. I found the sheet before I found this forum and was using it. If it's locked and people don't use this forum, they will not update their info. If they don't update their info it's pretty discouraging Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. the only problem with that is like me, I stumbled across the spreadsheet a whilst ago and didn't know it had been superseded with a new one until an extensive google search dropped me here and I took it from someones signature. Then I joined pomsinoz.com. After that I realised I couldn't edit the sheet but realised about the html suffix on the URL. Because I was a noob and didn't know who was responsible for the sheet, I wasn't going to bother updating it. This obviously doesn't help anyone. It's catch 22 because you don't want it to get messed up either. Maybe Admins should put contact details on the sheet if they do lock it?
  5. does anyone know what I need to do now I have transitioned from 457 to PR? I assume I will need to get a driving licence. I'm not sure what else I need to do. I'm on reciprocal health with Medicare.
  6. Hey, your link is the same as the one I use to Update. However, if you want to update the spreadsheet you can't with your link because it's a HTML view below is the link you have in your signature. The bottom one is the same sheet; only it's in an editable view. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc/htmlview?pli=1#'>https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc/htmlview?pli=1# https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc Cheers
  7. Thank You... Now what am I going to do when I'm supposed to be working? I normally check immi site every hour haha. Anxiety has gone. Oh and for anyone's benefit. I actually have a criminal record from the UK from a few years ago. (Very long boring story about police stopping me randomly and arresting me for having a knife in my glove box). I did get an absolute discharge mind. I've declared this all the way through from 457 application and everytime I leave and return to Australia I get pulled into a room to check my details. This didn't affect my application at all. i was not asked for further documents or clarification. Believe you me I was worried about this.
  8. thank you!! We did submit the visa the same day as the nomination. YOU should be any day now. Only two days after us. My partner is a midwife (his hospital sponsored us) we live in Sydney and VIC was the processing centre.
  9. Cheers @Jazzcrave I believe it was VIC as the processing centre (it says on the the visa grant along with the worker). We were sponsored by my partners employer. He is a midwife. I have updated the timeline in September docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc look for Aaron down the list. I had been checking fastidiously today because I finally found the new timeline google sheet. Then realised people in my block were being approved. i'd assumed it would be next week but as I left work i got the email. Anxiety has lifted
  10. The link to the timeline doc you have in your signature won't be able to be used if people want to edit their timelines. The "/htmlview?pli=1#" needs to be removed. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc
  11. Hi Felix, I just updated the Spreadsheet, I submitted my application 7th September 2015 and got approved this afternoon!! They are definitely working through August and September quickly!! July was a massive month and took them seven weeks to get through.
  12. Hey Thumbelina your using a HTML link. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc I removed the HTMLVIEW from the end of the url and bobs your uncle it's editable. Thanks for finding this though. You helped a lot of people still stuck on the old thread.
  13. Hey, have you figured this out yet? You helped me a great deal. I have been checking the other doc for weeks wondering why it wasn't being updated. I want to also update my info. In the mean time if others are updating theirs I suppose it helps. I applied 7th September 2015 both nomination and application. They've approved a 3rd and 4th September. I hope I'm next week
  14. Hi guys, whilst we were waiting for our 457 to be approved we were told that they won't approve visas too far in advance from a start date at work. Ben isn't due to start work until August 18th, our visa was lodged beginning of May, they weren't going to look at it until our recruitment agent called them and said he was starting work May. Hang on in there, it's difficult waiting, I had to wait a whilst because I have a criminal record (no prison time - I was given an Absolute Discharge) I kept busy by going through each room of my house and literally stick or twisting with everything. I was brutal!! Half our furniture would look out of place in an Aussie house anyhow. This process definitely makes you less materialistic
  15. Hi Mine took a whilst. Take a look at my signature... I was checking the portal every evening and morning religiously. Ours went to the Sydney office but in hindsight it didn't take too long.
  16. Ironic considering they're wild in Oz....
  17. Hi, We're moving to Sydney, arriving August 8th, and have also been looking at Hornsby, 4th safest suburb in Sydney and hasn't moved for a few years. I am petrified, we have temp accommodation for 10 days and need to be moved in to a rental within that time.... Thornleigh also looks nice. Is this even feasible? Cheers Aaron
  18. Hi mine was lodged April 2nd and was approved today. It depends on the case load and the nature of the job. It can take upto 3 months though. Good Luck everyone,
  19. I had to produce evidence of my defacto relationship recently for a 457 visa. Ours is a little different as we've been together five years. Both Ben and I put loads of stuff together (33pages in total). It was probably over kill, but as we're in a gay relationship I felt we probably have a bit more to prove. That was ok'd yesterday.
  20. Hi Guys, Update is I now have a CO thank God. It got rushed through a bit because of the nature of Ben's job. It is now at further information required, this was police checks and the dates on the health insurance needed clarifying. I'll keep you updated if and when we hear more.
  21. made up for you. absolutely ecstatic that your wait is over!! I have received a further information required on the immi portal today. I think it's for the police checks, I'll keep you updated though. I don't think it will be long now!
  22. Hi Swell, Yes I submitted everything requested. Haven't even got a case officer yet So worried.
  23. ha cheers Cheryl, we've been in Liverpool for 4 years but we're actually from Southampton. I'll keep you updated on our progress.
