  1. Thank you, was just wondering if it was common or if we were close the possibility of a grant. Thank you
  2. When a CO contacts you for additional information - do they request everything that may be required? Or once you have gotten together the requirements from their initial request - could they then go on to request more further information (not relating to the initial request?) TIA

We used an agent to just 'check over' our application, she was great, really thorough and gave great feedback. Cost less than $500 and gave us piece of mind!

  5. I feel like my heart literally pauses for a few seconds every time I get a new email, we submitted on 17th and we are onshore so once the day is done here I can rest and at least get a decent night sleep and wait for the next day!

  7. As an accountant, you should get work in the city pretty easy, has your partner made any progress with gaining a licence?
  8. I have submitted an EOI and received an invite with 70points. I have a BA Honors in Events Management when it came to the: Highest recognised qualification obtained section - I selected 'Honours degree in Science, Business or Technology' as I have honours and events management covers business modules. I am now about to submit and am stressing that I have selected the wrong degree type, it makes no difference to my points - as I will still get 15 points for my degree but should I have selected Bachelor degree and would this affect my application? The other options are Honours Degree in Science, Business or Technology Honours Degree (Other) Bachelor Degree in Science, Business or Technology Bachelor Degree (Other) Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi guys currently applying for PR, wanting to ask about police checks, just found out i have an outstanding court fine, will this affect my application, cheers
  10. Hi Carolyn i am looking for those, do you have them for sale?
  11. I can't understand why some are processed quickly and some take for ever. I saw a post yesterday where someone submitted on 8th Aug & approved 2 weeks later. You'd think they would at least do date order or some kind of logical process??
  12. Definately would love to meet up once we are both settled!
  13. Hi guys! Sorry I've not been getting notifications of replies! Xenon, I definately think we would look into getting into boating!
  14. Hiya guys! We arrive in QLD on the 5th September and are looking at either South Sunshine (Caloundra/Kings/Golden Beach area)or North Gold Coast (Upper Coomera/Oxenford/Helensvale) We are a family of 4 –our 2 children are 4 (5 in December) & just about to turn 3. So my little girl will start school in Jan/Feb. My daughter has been doing ballet in UK so she would like to continue with it and I’d also like to be close to sport activities/gymnastics for my little boy. Could anyone give recommendations/issues with any of these areas? We like to be social and would like to be somewhere that the children can meet and play with other kids. Hubby’s job means that we can be flexible as long as he can access the city and an airport Thanks in advance Elise x PS. We have never been to QLD, we did our reccie in Perth but hubbys job has meant we are going to be based this side instead, any advice would be greatly recieved!
  15. Totally off topic, but How do you update a timeline please

  18. Had my speaking part this morning! It went really quickly! It was based around music and technology so I was able to babble on for long enough. The examiner really unnerved me though as she didn't really make much I contact and when I was speaking she looked towards my right ear! Wish we got the results starlight away!!!

My writing, reading and listening were yesterday, sounds like we had same paper as my writing was same too, it seemed to go ok but thinking back about a couple of things I wrote I want to kick myself! My speaking part is on Tuesday and I'm a bit panicked as if I get cargo ships, sea fishing or politics I'm screwed!!! Fingers crossed for you all! Xx
