Hi Jonah

May I ask why your medical was referred and did the MOC require any additional information?

My young daughter wears a hearing aid in one ear as she has high frequency loss. Otherwise well, healthy girl and goes to mainstream school. I'm now really worried I'll be refused a visa because of this.

Help and advice please from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Vanessa

I have a medical condition that I would consider more of an impact to the Australian health service and I'm the main applicant and passed with no issues, it takes time for them to asses your situation but stay confident you will get there soon :-)

Hope you will get your grant very soon

This is to let everyone know, my medicals have been finalized.

Referred 22-02-2013, Finalized 01-06-2013

Since my CO had yet to call for medicals, I am guessing they were on the lowest priority..

Hello just wondering the best way to find out info about the medicals. I have a Keratoconus in the left eye. So just wondering if it would be a medical fail. I've passed the skilled online visa app about don't want to spend my money on fees to find out it's a fail. If any one can help me on this many thanks

My medicals were refereed due to hypertension. Am hypertensive and a little over weight. MOC did not ask for any additional information after that. Don't worry she will be cleared its only a matter of time. That type of health problem is not a threat to the Australian economy. All will be well i tell you.

I think you should've an older evisa link (if its not paper based)..

If your visa is paper based then I think only your CO can tell you regarding the status..

I think a letter from your GP explaining the situation helps in several cases.. take this to the panel physician responsible for your tests along with any other medical history / tests you have/had done..

(as I am currently in Australia) Need to go to specialist and CT scan.....I dont know.... already wait for 3.5 years and now..... hope no more...I am still under 28 days dead line....do you think it will take bit more long?

Thanks for replying.

Hi everyone - settling into this thread to begin my wait. I just did my medicals on Monday. I have medical issues, so no doubt they'll be referred. Last time I checked this thread, it seemed most people were at about a 4-month wait. Does that still seem to be the case?

Also, I know there's little rhyme or reason to how things happen in this process sometimes, but do meds usually get referred pretty quickly after you do them? The DC embassy's acknowledgment email says "go ahead and do your meds," so just a few weeks later I did. Now I'm wondering if they'll get referred right away, or not until the case officer actually picks up our case to start looking at it (so a few months from now if we're lucky). Anyone know? I'd rather the clock started sooner rather than later. :) My guess is there's no way to know for sure, but thought I'd ask anyway. :o)

Hi college girl

It is my understanding that medicals get referred to MOC if required even if you do not have a CO.

i am still waiting for MOC clearance it will be 3 months next week - so I looks like the 4 month wait is still the case!

Best of luck

Carol

Oh awesome - glad I did mine right away, then. That means they can be looking at it at the same time my case officer is figuring out that we're the real thing and (hopefully) we won't have to wait as long! A girl can dream. Haha. Thank you so much Carol! I hope yours are finalized SOON! :)

Hello wendylewis,

Have you heard back for your medicals finalization? I think your CO gave estimate for end of May.

I asked my CO and she is not willing to followup MOC and not giving any estimated time.

Heard nothing yet. We are going to give it this week and ring Sunday night to ask, yet again, what's going on - flipping 4 months today !!!

And I am about to complete 4 months next week. I don't know how to get over this.

Hi collage girl.

Id contact your CO just to let them know you have done your medical s, I did after 2 months and they had been lost in the system so I'd do it sooner rather than later good luck.

But she can't if she hasn't got a CO yet.

Our medical centre were able to confirm to us once they got our results back (7 days after our appointment) that we had all been A graded and there were no problems with our Medicals. From my understanding it is not the CO who refers but the medical examiner so I would suggest you contact them after 7 days and ask them about your results. They have to tell you as its your medical and you are are entitled to know as they are your medical records.
