Shugah
Hi Collegegirl, Well it depends as some people who have applied, they submitted later than me and their medicals were referred and they received their grant first week of July. Let's hope for the best as no one knows what it's going to be. Cheers, Shugah
theKG
Hey All!! It's already been 42 days that I've uploaded my medicals and there is still no any results of medical clearance....And I'm sure I'm gonna be late for my Class in the University. Has anyone been thru this situation?? Please help!!!!!!:skeptical: Razzu, you should ask for an extension from the Uni, and try to email DIAC to have your medicals processed urgently. I was supposed to be in Darwin before July 15(my intake) but we got stuck with the medicals. After 72 days(check my timeline in my sig), the CO received my wife's clearance. We, however are still waiting for the Decision. I don't want to sound pessimistic, you should be deferring for next sem if you cant have the visa 1 week before the last allowable arrival date to uni. When is your intake? You are welcome Shugah!
bellaboshade
Our Medicals were done 8 weeks ago in Brisbane and we have not heard anything (all of the paperwork, including extras requested were submitted prior to this). I have emailed the case officer to find out if they were referred but no reply so emailed the medical centre who have let me know that all Medicals were fine - getting very frustrated

Then we got the grant

FP215
Hi, I'm hoping some of you can help as I'd imagine by now you're getting to be experts regarding Medicals! My question is, does the link being removed to organise Medicals mean anything? I was expecting my medical to be referred and so I wasn't surprised when my OH link was removed but mine still appeared, however mine has now also been removed. Unfortunately I don't have a CO yet to check with and understand I just need to be patient until they're assigned and inform me but would appreciate any advice if anyone know what it means (if anything). Thanks.
Guest gemma87
not fully sure but if it helps.... we have got a case officer my daughters medicals have been referred. the rest of the families 'organize medicals' has been removed except hers. you may be lucky and get your visa soon

Mummy1999
Does anyone know what month of referrals the MoC are looking at now? My med was referred late April and case officer said yesterday it's still in the queue. So frustrating when my medical was given a grade A, we have to move out of our house in 6 weeks. You would think that applying for a 186 in November 2012 that the visas would be here by now. thanks in advance
sandybull
Hi all.. I'm new to this thread.. My husbands medical has been referred for 4 weeks now, for no apparent reason! I read that referred Medicals are taking 3 months to clear, although I have fingers crossed it will be less than that, as he has no medical conditions.. Does anyone know if DIAC have/intend to employ additional resources to deal with the backlog? Surely that is a sensible solution..? Fingers crossed we all get the results we are waiting for soon.. CollegeGirl
Global Health is a different entity from DIAC. There's been no mention anywhere I've seen of additional resources being deployed by GH... though I'd dearly love to see that myself! I'm afraid it's highly likely you're in for an ~3 month wait. I guess it depends on what subclass you applied for. Student VISAs have intake dates that need to be considered, maybe that is the reason why I got my visa ahead of yours. I have heard of referred medicals getting cleared in 10 days, and that is under the student VISA. Just email DIAC every now and then(once or twice a week?) just to get their attention. Tell them how many weeks you have been waiting since it was referred. I hope you get your visa soon! All the best and God bless! angela m1
It may be obvious and I've missed it somewhere but how were you notified that your medical had been referred? Many thanks
SandyE
It may be obvious and I've missed it somewhere but how were you notified that your medical had been referred? Many thanks The Doctor who completed your medical should have told you. Generally if your medical is classed as grade A (no medical issues) then is not referred. If graded B then it is referred. But in saying that, it is becoming more and more common for grade A medicals to be referred for no apparent reason. If you are unsure, call the Dr to find out
CollegeGirl
I called my doctor and she said it was up to DIAC and couldn't tell me, and that I'd have to contact my CO. Interesting that your experience was different, Sandy!

Interesting that your experience was different, Sandy! our case officer told us our daughters was referred. he also asked us not to contact him every months asking about the progress because he wouldnt respond. that if they respond to every body's emails then its less processing time they have. so frustrating waiting and not knowing :arghh:

Interesting that your experience was different, Sandy! Hi College Girl I was told the same as you by my Dr I think we were all A graded, but we are still waiting to be allocated a CO who will then decide whether or not he needs more info and this apparently can include medical info? I was hoping that A -graded was a "phew all's good" but only time will tell....:frown: we've been waiting only 5 weeks since we lodged our visa application, and front loaded all police checks and medicals so just CO now, who our migration agents have said are allocated to you approximately 6 -8 weeks after visa application lodged? Mine is the 189 visa so most likely quicker for student visas as need to be ready to begin term etc? Its all soooo slow isnt it??

Interesting that your experience was different, Sandy! [/quote It was obvious for my case as there was a problem with the chest xray and I had to see a specialist to complete tests and a report. I dare say it depends on your case too.
CollegeGirl
I strongly suspect mine was referred as I have some ongoing chronic issues. I'm not sure why my doc wouldn't just tell me that - maybe she doesn't like being the bearer of bad news, lol.

The Dr also said mine was being graded as B so I knew it was going to be referred on too. Best of luck College girl. Mine was referred about 2months ago so getting closer! Mummy1999
My medical was referred on April 30 and I had my visa granted on August 7th, so I guess they are working on a 3 month delay.
