  1. Hi all Nerves have set in as we are moving to Brisbane end October. Our daughter is due to start prep early next year, so I have been researching schools in a few areas. How much importance should we place on ICSEA values? Your experiences and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Sandy
  2. My husbands had been referred, but the only way I found that out was by chasing CO, DIAC and Health Strategies. Reason I started chasing was because his was the only "organise medicals" that had not been removed. That being said, his Medicals were cleared last Monday (5th) and visa granted on the same day! Our case officer had been very helpful during the whole process.. Good luck all.. The waiting will soon be over
  3. Hi all.. I'm new to this thread.. My husbands medical has been referred for 4 weeks now, for no apparent reason! I read that referred Medicals are taking 3 months to clear, although I have fingers crossed it will be less than that, as he has no medical conditions.. Does anyone know if DIAC have/intend to employ additional resources to deal with the backlog? Surely that is a sensible solution..? Fingers crossed we all get the results we are waiting for soon..
  4. Hi all We are (nervously and impatiently) waiting for a decision on our visa application. Based on current processing times, I'm hoping it will be any day now.. fingers crossed! I dream of opening the e-mail and it being a positive result.. If so, we are planning to move over a few months later. Do we need to get stamps in our passport, how does the actual visa side of things work? Advice would be greatly appreciated..
  5. Hi there.. My husband, my daughter (4 years old) and I had our Medicals done through the EMed system a few weeks ago. Husband and I each had blood tests, and chest X-rays (we are both originally from South Africa), and all three of us had medical examinations. Examination consisted of doctor asking a few questions, checking eye sight, blood pressure, ears, throat, reflexes etc. I have been involved in two serious car accidents (I'd like to point out I wasn't the driver in either! Once as passenger and once as pedestrian.. ). I gave details of operations as a result of these accidents but they were kind of glanced over, not looked at I'm detail. As far as I can remember we didn't submit our health records.. Medical results were uploaded onto the visa system a week later. Three weeks later our CO has confirmed receipt of mine and my daughters Medicals, although still waiting for my husband's to clear.. Not sure why it's being held up.. Good luck..
