  1. You are fine, you don't need job offer but you need 7 band in each and registration from Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  2. Yes you are right, you can't withdraw it. When you open a super account say with comm bank, you will get a new account from which you can't withdraw.
  3. You won't be taxed on your super fund as you already paid 15% when you got that paid into your account. If i were you i transfer my fund to low fee account and cancel all the insurance. I use Commbank, which charges $5 a month and you can see your fund balance in online banking with your other accounts. It also let you allocate your money in different types of assets. Don't forget you will also be getting income from your fund every year. So for simplicity sake you have only 10000 in your account and just say you get 3% return you will make more than enough to cover your fees. I highly suggest to cancel any insurance product as they are big culprit to eat your balance. i recommend commbank as it will bring all your super in one place with click of a button and you can see your balance and fees etc.Hope this help
  4. Hey, did you guys look into getting your husbands skill assessment done? I worked in the U>k for 6 years and didn't have any qualification in cooking. you can apply through vetassess pathway 1, where they look into your work experience(need minimum of 4 years), and then invite for an interview. If successful you get skill assessment as well as Cert 4 in cookery, which will give him 10 points for education. I got invited by NSW couple of weeks back with just 60+5 points, received my invitation in just 20 days. I was in sort of similar situation as you are , finished my degree here in Australia, but for my occupation needed 80 points, so my lawyer suggested me to go through this route.
  5. Sorry you are correct. I will shut up Haha, all good mate. Did you get CO contact yet? I am following your journey for a while now
  6. I am not sure about other states, but NSW regions give you release letter if you don't find job in reasonable time. What that means is you can move to other regional areas. Please consult with migration agent before making any decision, as it can come back to bite you considering current politics around regional Visas
  7. You can live in any regional area of that state that sponsored you. You can't live in a regional area of another state. You are kinda right about other Aus states, but same is not true for NSW. As i remember, NSW has 8 different regional areas with their own occupation list and requirements. If you get invited by one NSW region, you have to live in that particular region for 2 years.
  8. Hey, If your husband has 4 years of experience, he don't need to get Cert 4. He can apply through Vet assess pathway 1 and if he is successful he will get the cert 4 as well as Skill assessment.
  9. Most likely you are eligible for pastry cook. According to the chef fact sheet, you need to have all around knowledge of kitchen. You are also expected to manage budget, staff etc.
  10. If your points go down before you are invited, it becomes invalid. its only get locked in if you have received the invitation. Try sending them email explaining your circumstances. Not sure about NT, but NSW fast track your application if you are loosing points due to age etc.
  11. Yes i do have skill assessment from vetassess and i have done pte exam My points breakdown Age- 30 Eng-10 Bach degree- 15 Aus study- 5 ss- 5
  12. Hey Guys, I am Chef by profession and have over 8 years of experience. For my EOI i didn't claim any points for employment. I got nominated by NSW. During the submission i provided my detailed resume. Do i still need to provide documents for the work experience, even though i didn't claim any points for the same and marked it as irrelevant on my EOI. Additionally NSW didn't ask for any employment documents and assessed my application in half a day.
  13. Hey mate, i have done my skill assessment through Vetassess. Most people apply through vetassess as they are well known. Only downside is they take their time. I got my assessment after 130 days. Victoria university is very strict with their criteria. William Angliss promise that, you will get your assesment 7 weeks. only problem is they ask for lots of documents.
  14. Okay, good luck with your application. I submitted mine for nsw 190, occupation chef with 60+5 ss points.
  15. Hey Reet, what is your occupation and points break down
  16. Hey mate, this is what vetassess provided me after the assessment. No mention of anything about the work experience or any point advise. Called vetassess and they said that for trade occupation we do not provide point advise.
  17. Hi wrussell, I have bit of confusion with Victorian state nomination. My occupation is chef and i have 8 years of experience. I got my skill assessment through pathway one as i didn't have any formal qualification in cookery. Victoria ask for 5 years of post qualification experience. I am not sure from when i am deemed qualified. It will be great if you can provide any recommendation. Kind regards
  18. I didn't use any gloves for my Skill assessment video and got a positive outcome for Stage 1
