  6. It might be worth getting onto your police checks and medicals as I bet they may reach out to you soon...
  7. Thanks for your reply! Do they just ask for updated statutory declarations? Or do you have to do things like the police checks again?
  8. So our 820 was just granted yesterday! Does the 801 come through 2 years after the initial partner visa application (14/6/2017) or 2 years after the 820 was granted (8/3/18)? Also, does anyone know what further paperwork is required? Thanks!!!
  9. Our 820 was granted 8th March!! We applied on 14th June 2017 and a case officer reached out to us on 15th February!!!!
  10. Finally had my ceremony on Australia day! Almost a year start to finish but moved councils a couple months after doing the test which probably set it back
  11. Just got an email from them chasing documents, applied on 14th June. If you did a UK police check a couple years ago and havnt lived there since is it still valid or would need to do another one (for sponsor)? Also is there any difference in the 801 and 820 medicals for the partners?
  12. 3 months for us but wouldn't expect anything until 8-9 months at earliest. Will shall start doing police checks and medical in the new year Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  13. Cheers Both Ku Ring Gai and inner west have ceremonies every month so hopefully won't be too impacted Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  14. So I applied and got my approval living in inner west council but have since moved house and am now in ku ring gai. Anyone know if this will affect where I do ceremony? Cheers Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  15. A friend of mine did his test 6 days after me and his letter was dated 1 day after me so don't think it's an exact science but guessing it will be similar timelines Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  16. Finally got my letter. Passed test 6th June, approval letter dated 3rd August [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  17. Passed my test 6th June but still no sign of approval letter Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  18. My understanding is that student visas allow 20 hours a week work during term time and fulltime work during school holidays, hope this helps!
  19. My girlfriend can work fulltime on her Bridging Visa A, she was on a student visa before so had rights to work only 20 hours a week. In principle I was told by a registered migration agent that the bridging visa in effect is continuation and that her student visa allowed her to work fulltime outside of term time and the bridging visa is outside of term time so good to allow fulltime work. However if there are standard terms across bridging visas As then your sweet. The grant says work with no restrictions.
  20. So did my test 6th June but still no sight of my letter, anyone else waiting on theirs?
  21. Depends on your experience, quals etc but if I was you I would get over ASAP on the 457 and then be looking for the company to nominate me right away for 186 direct entry. Cant just get a 186 our of nothing I dont think. Might need a degree or certain number of years experience to be eligible. May need to grab a VETASSESS. EDIT: From what I heard 186 is gooooone from March 2018 for most things, so have to get it sorted before then
  22. Hey sapphilor on the spreadsheet, what does the approval date mean? Is there an email or something before the approval letter? Cheers
  23. That sucks! Does the status on the immi account change to finalised once they fire off the letter and put you to the council for a ceremony or just once you have done the ceremony does anyone know? Cheers
  24. Thanks for that guys! My council, Inner West has ceremonies once every month so hopefully the whole thing doesnt drag on too much longer
  25. I was told by Immigration lawyers that my PR would take 6 months, did it all myself, got it in 3 months. For my partners 820 I am doing that too as will save me about $3000-$4000 in fees
