  1. Hi--this is a quick query before they arrive tomorrow. How do they pack the shoes--is it best to clean and leave them in our shoe boxes--i have tons of shoe boxes or do they have any other method of packing them??? The other one is can we ship toothpicks(wood), wooden clothes pegs and birthday candles??? Any info greatly appreciated!!!
  2. <p><p>my pleasure--u actually thanked me twice:wink:</p></p>

  3. Hi guys, we have just received an insurance quote for shipping. The quote was good but they state we have to pay an excess of £250 in the event of a claim. Is this normal practice? Has anyone any exp. with these types of insurance please?
  4. What have the quoted you for and where to where? they are coming next week for us as well.!
  5. Thanks guys. Thinking of going with robinsons--not sure what to do esp if for some reason visa doesnt come or we decide against moving:mad:
  6. hi guys--we are probably going to have to first store our stuff for about a month prior to shipping. When do people usually pay the shippers--do we have to pay before they come to pack and collect? Any info greatly appreciated.
  7. Aaw!It must be so difficult going through the stress of the visa and medicals alone. i do hope it comes along quick and u can rejoin ur OH. When did you apply for your visa?
  8. <p><p>Hope are you Marion? Hope you had a safe journey Oz side. Take care.</p></p>

  9. hi there! Im nearly going out of my mind. We applied for the ENS Pr visa via DRC but since thats now taking for ever with all the back log we though we will put in a 457 fully expecting it to come in a few weeks. But now the medicals for that has been referred. Anyone on here with 457 application in, who has meds referred? how long did it take or are you still waiting? Just wanting to know if its the same queue as everyone else, as in that case with only July meds being looked at we are in for a long wait!.
  10. Quite a nice well thought out, measured and well written post. Glad to know that those not too sporty too will survive!
  11. Even my app still says 'received' even though we got an Ack letter last week.Would have imagined it would get updated to 'lodged' at least. Have no idea how this works.
  12. Hi!We did--there is a timeline thread here http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/158703-skillselect-ens-186-timeline.html DO post yours on there as well. Ours went in on july27th apparently. Received ack letter beginning of this month. havent a clue about anything else.
  13. Hi dear, Here's the link. http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/check-progress.htm how is ur application coming along?
  14. Recieved Ack letter from My MA. The letter says that they received the appl and nomination on July 27. It says nothing about DRC and gives a 5-7 month timeline though we had applied as DRC. Also the weird thing is the website checker hasnt been updated to application lodged but still says 'received'. Is this the same for everyione else? When do they say application lodged on the website? thanks.
  15. You seem to be a wonderful person. I just hope and pray that all goes well for you and your family. You are doing the best that you can. Don't worry about the outcome too much as your best is all that one can do.
  16. Wishing you all the very best!
  17. Honestly the Uk doesn't deserve all the bad press its been getting on here. Its a great place and one can have a great life if you have a decent job. The weather is the only uncontrollable factor. Kids education hasnt gone down the drain from the years gone by in my opinion--the same opportunities exist should you seek them--education wise. As to the job market--it maybe a different question, but nowadays the job market is an international one. I for one do not think my kids are going to get a better education in Australia--our move is fuelled by other reasons and the weather is high up on that list.
  18. Just sharing as this is an alternative for those who want one -- http://www.1flesh.org/argument_page/a-better-way/ Creighton is completely natural, inexpensive, and has zero side-effects. It takes the simple, scientific fact that a woman’s cervical mucus changes in response to her fertility, then teaches women how to observe those changes and to chart them. Women, by understanding their own bodies, are far more effective at preventing unplanned pregnancy than the Pill manages to be. And it’s not a “one size fits all” approach. The method looks at a woman’s unique cycle and works with it. But Creighton isn’t just a method of family planning. Creighton is a comprehensive understanding of women’s health, a method that takes the mystery out of a woman’s cycle and allows her to operate in sync with her body. Having this self-knowledge allows women to take care of all sorts of hormonal issues, from pregnancy to PMS, ovarian cysts to infertility. Thus Creighton boasts that: It is 2 to 3 times more effective than in vitro fertilization at helping infertile couples have children — at a fraction of the cost. It is 79% effective at helping women have a successful pregnancy after they have suffered repetitive miscarriages. It can help women learn they are at risk for a miscarriage even before one has occurred. It is is 95% effective at treating PMS, a condition that plagues millions of American women each month. It is also 95% effective at treating Post-Partum Depression, which afflicts as many as one in five new mothers, often getting results within hours. It cuts the rate of premature birth nearly in half — thus helping reduce the incidence of birth defects. It allows for the accurate dating of the beginning of pregnancy, thus helping avoid end-of pregnancy complications. It can more than halve the recurrence of chronic pelvic pain, and it reduces the hysterectomy rate by 75%. …and much more. In the midst of all this, it’s important to realize that Creighton is not easy. It’s easy to learn, but — if a couple wishes to avoid pregnancy — it requires approximately 8-11 days of abstinence from sexual intercourse each month, a number that can increase if a couple is working to resolve a health issue. This requires real communication between couples, discipline, and a love willing to look beyond the present need and to the good of the other. Living a natural sex life demands something of a lifestyle change, a thing we humans fear.
