  6. Hi everyone, finally our medicals have come through-- took just under 30 days I.e 28, but still posting here. Our timeline is something like this- 457 app, medical field, meds ref on 12th sept. CO put in priority request last week as employer was struggling without neccessary workforce. Wasn't seen by Global health until OH called them up and asked what's happening. The lady said, give her a few days. Finally came through on Thursday, the 11th. Visa followed few hours later. hope this helps someone.

  8. How do you plan to commute to Kogarah --car? how is driving in sydney compared to UK? Any tips or pointers?
  9. Hi there, Been living in N.lincs until very recently-- still have a house there which we are hoping to rent out. I would definitely recommend it as it offers grt value for money for a well connected place-- motorway on your doorstep and reasonably good train services. There's even a straight one to Man airport. Lovely villages outlying S****horpe. Ashby in S****horpe too has bungalows to suit as well as suitable company! If u want more info feel free to pm me. edit: PIO has starred out bits of the place! Pc gone mad.
  10. We used both jeyes and zoflora. Jeyes for finishing of the bikes and flikers; zoflora for cleaning the shoes as it smells better.
  11. Thanks for pointing out the catchment issue-- I was under the impression that if you are in the suburb that was enough! I am hoping to visit a few schools just to get a feel for the place as well as see the facilities -- I hope the schools wouldn't mind.
  12. Hi guys- hoping people in Oz have woken up by now! Just looking for people's opinions on schools in the shire-- any personal experiences? I need ( as we all do) a good primary for my kids-- somewhere they will feel at home(they are coming from the Uk) , where they will feel welcomed and happy, and a good place for academic excellence. An after school club will be great if present. Not too bothered about sports as my son couldn't care less. Public or Catholic schools are both ok-- just that it should be a good school. I would be grateful for people's opinion, and please pass on any hearsay as well:biggrin:!
  13. Hi mumoffour! Are you living in Sutherlandshire? We are looking at moving that way and I am researching primary schools. Very difficult to find first hand info and only the league tables to go by! What is your opinion of the schools in the shire and any particularly good ones? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Public or catholic -- either is ok.
