    Hi, my lil one has dairy and egg allergies too.She's only 3 and has never liked dairy free dark chocolate. This year i've found a dairy free egg online (UK) that claims to be 'milk' chocolate so hoping this will appeal to her. It won't taste like Cadburys to me but she has never tasted proper chocolate!! x

    Hi Spencer, Our 176 visa was granted 5 days after our medicals, and there was a weekend inbetween! The whole process moved a lot faster than i thought it would!! Becky

    Hi, We had medicals in December including our 2 year old and 14 month old. All the doctor did was listen to their hearts and chest and just a very basic physical check. The little ones head was measured and he asked a few questions but i think they saw enough just from watching them play. There didn't seem to be a formal assessment of any milestones and especially with your very little babies they are all different anyway. Don't worry, it will be very simple! Becky

    Hi We just scanned the bank statements and uploaded them. If our CO wanted to run a scam i think he had enough info to go on anyway ie birth certs, passports, addresses and utility bills! He gave us a visa though :biggrin: But i don't know what anyone else did. Beck x

    Bingo: We live on the Isle of Man and Manchester is our nearest panel doc so had to be the plane (which is slightly better than the boat!). Shame you are both still waiting, you could have had a great weekend celebrating! We'd like to head to WA, haven't got a definite area, it will probably depend on job offers but we like the sound of Rockingham or Mandurah and if we could get work somewhere further south like Bunbury looks nice too. We will have to do a bit more research on schools/activities if we get the visa granted. How about you Helene? Bex x

    Hiya, What a day!! We were up at 4.45am, bounced around on a plane with two littlies and a teen , had our meds done and then bounced back home again this evening and we're still standing! You were right Helene and Bingo, they were fine. I thought they would be much more involved so hopefully everything will be fine. We will wait and see what happens now, you two must be any day now!! :biggrin: Bexy

    Thanks bingo, I'll make sure I remember those passports! We need them for ID on the flight anyway. Glad to hear you're getting sorted, you should hear by Christmas now. Any chance of a refund from your agent seeing as they weren't very good? even a partial one as a goodwill gesture? Bex

    Thanks for your replies, we will make that one of our priorities if we make it over. It's not very nice to think about but I would hate for our two girls to be left in limbo. We haven't got a huge family but they will be there for them if the worst happened. Bexy x

    Just a hypothetical question! I've read some of the sticky thread about what happens to the kids if one of you want to go back to the UK. There was a mention of what would happen if something awful happened to both parents but I didn't see a definitive reply. In our case, there would be no relatives in Oz to care for our two littlies. So, would their grandparentsor aunties be able to take them back to the UK or would there be some sort of legal case to contend with. Obviuously we would want the best for them which would be to be with their closest relatives but do we need to draw an agreement up legally once we settle in Oz? Bexy x

    Evening! Got both PCC's now so only waiting for the medicals on Thursday. Just a couple of questions for anyone who had medicals at the Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester:- did you have to take 2 passport photies? I'm sure I read it somewhere but can't find it now the website says we need to take our passports and certified copies of the photo page of our passports. It doesn't ask for this on the confirmation email so just wanted to check what others did as it's a bit too far to nip home and get them! Cheers Bexy

    Thanks for that, I should stop worrying! I did email our CO yesterday evening and he replied that all the employment docs were satisfactory, just awaiting police and meds. Hopefully the meds will be straightforward... Bexy

    You still waiting Bingo? I saw you message about the problems with your agent, I hope it goes well from now . We have our medicals next week and I'm expecting PCC to arrive tomorrow so that should hopefully be all the info they need. I was asked for further evidence of work experience (last 8 years) so uploaded a stack of bank statements and payslips. As i wasn't asked for further evidence of specific work experience i assume they must be satisfied with the employer reference and job description?? I also had a Stat Dec done by my daughters father stating she could emigrate and i hope this is also adequate. I'm starting to worry now that i'll get an email after the medicals to say that the documentation wasn't in order and visa gets denied :sad: The risk of not using an agent I suppose but it's done now. I was thinking of emailing my CO to check but don't want to be a pain!! Bex

    Hi Dale and Jane, That's a great price for the flights! As for progress, I've uploaded the extra docs they asked for apart from meds and PCC. We're not having the meds til 8th December as we had to work around mock exams and flights :-( Police checks arrived yesterday but hubby's is wrong! Hopefully have that sorted by next week. The extra documents that I uploaded were acknowledged as received by email but I'm not sure if that means they are satisfactory now or they will check everything when the meds are available. Hopefully we'll have a decision one way or the other before Christmas!! Bex

    Congrats Dale and Jane! That's about 7 weeks from application? Pretty good going!! We'll be last as meds aren't booked until 8/12/11 but we're not in a mad rush as long as everything is ticking along nicely and they say YES at the end!! Becky x

    Thanks to both of you for the replies. I tried a library today but they weren't too sure about how to use their printer! I'll try a different one tomorrow. The copy place i went to said they weren't allowed to do it (???) and told me to get another copy, I did mention that it would still be too big! I hadn't thought about having it scanned and saved on a memory stick so i will try that. If not it'll be scanned in two pieces!!! Thanks :biggrin: Becky
