Australia is so far removed to what it was when we arrived here.WE can't really see what the attraction is for anybody to live Australia now

The last property we owned,in SE Queensland had bore water and tank water,it's mostly brackish. (salty.) It kills plants. It was only useful for Weeds and Grass as i used to breed Goats And Watered the paddocks with it.Tank water is Ok if you don't mind drinking bird shit,and run off from dead rats and other mammals lying dead in the gutter.Then Frogs and snakes sometimes get into the tank.You need to boil All the water if you are desperate, and want to drink it. We never did we bought bottled water,Don't believe the Tales about it's good to drink. And i'm still here. Even the town water In Australia is dodgy. .It's full of all sorts of chemicals in it. And authorities haven't worked out what the right amount to put in the water capacity.of water/ Different areas taste and smell different.Many people like us still drink bottled water, We still live Rural but a lucky and have Town Water and a 20,000 litre Rainwater tank that services the toilet and Laundry. It Keeps our Utility bill down, for water charges. very well,And of course what everyone should have solar panels for hot water and Air Cons.

All Telecommunications in Australia is 20 years behind the rest of the westernised world.TV. Mobile phone.Internet in fact anything you care to mention.Is rubbish.We are even watching the same repeated Movies on TV all the time. We were watching 30 years ago. Xmas they had all the best they had to offer over the Xmas Holiday. The biggest treat. Was Faulty Towers on for hours on end.. But when The Simpsons ,is the most viewed TV Show in Australia what could anyone expect?

We have been here 35 years. We returned to the UK in 2012 and i came back to Australia in November 2013, Because of propelems in Aus with a family member.My wife followed in 2014. Big mistake. We now hate it here ,we dread the summer in rural Queensland the heat is prolific.just too much. It's uncomfortable. The friends we had have gone back to the Uk and the Aussie friends we had turned on us.Your not allowed to have a opinion in Australia. We live in a nice house in a nice place with Lake views. But it's like a graveyard,There's nothing here, and nothing in the Town only 10 min drive away. The Kids opposite are bored out of their minds, riding bikes, up and down the road all day. Everyone here sticks to themselves. I have not spoken to one neighbour. The new laws the Government have brought in for Dual Citizens.. Makes us now feel insecure. The Government is deporting dual citizens that commit a crime ,or become ill and are deemed to be a burden on the Australian Health service. Their Australian citizenship is canceled .And they are deported back to their place of birth. No one knows what will happen ,health wise, as you become old. .Plus the aged have to pay now for Certain Health requirements now,That used to be free as a aged pensioner. My wife recently had to have a Mri x ray as she had a fall ,and hit her head. cost $610 .00. The Doctor is sending her for another one on her knee.Cost $485. I don't see the point in living in Australia .When the older you get ,The worse it will become .Until one day you can't even afford to see a doctor. Bulk billing is slowly disappearing. Young couples are feeling the pinch .Having to pay over $400 to see a doctor with a child and a couple of scripts.. Many people in Australia are being overwhelmed by the high cost of living. Stagnant wages,forever increasing Rates, water ,costs ,to get anything repaired, is out of control, and of course the coast of Houses.We can't get back to the UK quick enough. Just have to sell up .But as everyone knows ,Everyone is different.And all circumstances are different. And it makes a huge difference if your extended family are all here. Some people think it's paradise,Others are trapped here. And some grow to hate it.

Stay away from Rural Queensland, West Moreton Ipswich is not what it's made out to be .Don't take any notice of coloured photos from anywhere in Australia .High Aboriginal population,high crime rate. Even the Mayor is in Jail.And it Floods. if there is well paid jobs there, nobody wants them.. It's more expensive to live.You go back in time 30 years.It's bone dry. Nothing works like Mobile phone.the Internet is slow ,and the NBN is a dud. There's usually no town water or sewerage.To get a Tradie out to repair anything ,it costs a fortune. Gold Coast is 2 hrs away.Most Rural Towns in Queensland have high unemployment. We have Lived in the Lockyer Valley near Gatton for over 20 years. We paid $328 P/a when we moved here . We now pay over $2000 P/a and still have no Sewerage. Some have no Town Water or sewerage. But still pay for the Pipe that goes past their house.It's too expensive to get connected.It's rip off city.

You don't say where you are from. But if you look up Stansted Airport.You'll find a a great job there.And a variety of Bus driving jobs always wanted. from 12.50hr to 14.50hr depending what you want to do. I think the Last time i looked the pay was 12 .50 You work a 12 hour shift transferring passengers from the Park and ride car park to the Airport.But there seems to be plenty of work for Bus Drivers,and HGV drivers all over the UK. I used to drive for the National Express based in Cambridge loved it. Just sorry i ever left there. There was a few Geordies working there that came down for the work.After i started so it was great. It's a beautiful place to live,and work, and a great company to work for I think it's Stage Coach.And u can get your Aussie Licence changed over to a British PSV .They train you up. Route Learning till you say you know the route .There is no pressure. You have to pass a Driving test and a Maths test.We are on our way back as soon as we sell up. Australia is now the Country of Hate. especially after the Cricket. Why do they bother win or lose, it's anti pom Ridicule and insults.

We have decided to return to the UK. While we are fit enough to do so And the exchange rate is in our favour.. We came to Australia in 1986 . Can't realy pin point when the rot set in.But i began taking all the anti pom atitude to heart.And all the Aussie this Aussie that, realy got on my nerves,They never stop bragging and boasting..So in 2013 We decided to go back home .I'm from the North East and my wife is from London. I still have all the friends i had from when i was born,and we all lived in the same street.So we bought a house in the North East.She got on with all my friends ,but she always felt the odd one out .We went out much more than we ever did in Australia,to the Club on saturday nights, danceing and watching shows put on at the club. I went out with the lads on wednesday nights.And out to have a look arround the markets or car boot sales on Sundays.As far as York and up to Scotland, then had a meal in a pub somwhere.One of my wifes sisters lives in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. They also had a house boat .And we'd go sailing down the Thames as far as Windsor Castle. the scenery is jaw dropping,with pubs you can moor at and have a drink.The Lake Districk we lived a hours drive away is so Beautiful aswell. And the Aussies brag on and on,and say how blessed the are being Australian and living in the best place in the world?It's just not so. So anyhow our daughter back in Australia had big problems .So we decided to come back. in 2014 Big Mistake. I'm worse now than when i left in 2013. Just can't stand it here.It's like living in a Cemetery.Plus the Government say they are deporting people with duel citizenship ,if they break the law,or get ill and are deemed to become a burden on the Australian Heath service.They will have their Australian Citizenship cancelled and will be deported.Not that it worries me. But what about these poms that have taken out Citizenship and think they have completly changed, and become Australian's after the ceromony Some say they feel so different? Well that's that myth shot down in flames.Australia after you have worked here most your adult life dosen't really want you.!.Your Australian Citizensip is not worth the paper it's written on. 1038 A mixture of Nationals ,Including Kiwi's and Brit's have been deported in the last 12 months.
