  1. Its a standard reply. It'll be assessed by a case officer, probably the one you aready have, unless that one is on leave or sick or run off with the dustman. In that case someone else will lok at it.All perfectly normal.......!
  2. They didn't even have Immigration in Tassie when I was there earlier this year, usually have to go through Immigraton on the mainland these days. If they've started international flights again then its only very recently.
  3. Won't have any effect on processing time, however if you have appointed an agent the CO is only supposed to communicate with the agent and not with the applicant directly.
  4. There is a strike affecting DIBP as well as it being end of the year. And if you posted the cheque by ordinary mail........you have to allow time for that too -takes at least an extra day after the mail reaches DIBP for it to be security scanned, opened, registered etc. Ozzie govt is slow when dealing with mail.
  5. Sorry, but unless the children are Australian citizens they will need a medical; there are some differences like younger ones not needing an xray (unless its changed recently), but every child on the visa application will need a medical https://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/arranging-health-exam.htm
  6. New visa quotas start for all classes on july 1st every year. However Spouse Visas are still limited to only issuing a certain number each month.
  7. Sounds like all you have is a contact at an agency, not an actual CO at DIBP.
  8. OK, things are obviously very different with paper now then as I thought you didn't get a CO until it had all been lodged at DIBP and paid for! I hadn't heard of being able to lodge with just an assessment form and get a CO before paying, thats good!! Good luck!
  9. If you've got a CO, surely that means your application has been lodged, in which case you will have already paid? (bit confused here -thats not unusual!)
  10. You still have the 10-14 month wait for the visa, but you then get PR saight away, you don't have to do the 2 years on a Temp Spouse visa first.
  11. Try this for basic numbers https://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/20planning.htm
  12. To go straight to PR you need 3 years cohabitation/marriage or 2 years if there is a child of the relationship.
  13. Changes to fees are here http://www.immi.gov.au/pub-res/Documents/budget/VAC-increases-fact-sheet.pdf
  14. Wow, must be one of the few visas where applicants from High Risk Countries get their visas quicker than Low Risk!
  15. It means no visas in that class can be granted until 1st July. Processing continues as normal, but they are held in a queue to be granted when the new financial year starts.
  16. Maybe i'm missing something but if he added you to his PR applicaion why wasn't your visa sorted at the same time? why did you need to apply for a Spouse Visa if you were already part of his application?
  17. If your husband got PR in September and you have been married 4 years, why did he not put you on his {R application in the first place?
