1.
Of course you can hun, I'd be delighted for you to add me :-)

 2.
Of course you don't sound like a moaner! I think its much easier for men to settle than us girls for some reason. Phil didnt know what had hit him when I was crying every day, he really didnt know what to do, bless him. I was exactly like you in that I never expected to feel so bad, which I think makes it worse - you try to like it, but the harder you try, the worse you feel and the more you hate it. You are doing exactly the right thing by taking it a day at a time - it's normal for you to miss people and for them to miss you - don't be hard on yourself. I'm here any time you want a chat. Sue x

 3.
How you feeling today... Things do get easier Hun, I promise. I've been there xxxxxx

 5.
Hi Rob, sorry to bother you but a few people have been unable to leave messages on my profile page lately and I don't know why this is, I haven't got any restrictions in place? Wondered if you might have any idea what's wrong? Cheers, Sue x

 6.
Good!! I'm glad the sun is out "oop Norf" - the inlaws are stuck in Dubai cos of the volcano and they'll need to be kept as warm as they've got used to over the past month and a bit! <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 8.
LOL don't worry Den I forgot I had sent it! I'm sorry to hear you're still not as settled as you'd like to be. Honestly, it took me ages and ages to feel even slightly "okay", and even now I have my off moments. You've done a huge thing, don't be hard on yourself. Time does help and as you become more familiar with your surroundings and how things work, it starts to feel more like home. To think we thought all our troubles would be over "if only we got the visa" eh...the real hard work only begins once you actually get here, doesn't it? Take care hun, Sue x

 9.
Hi Bob, just dropping by to say a big thank you for the Whistundays brochure and map which arrived this morning in the post! As you yourself would say, you're a good kid, Charlie Brown <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 12.
Hello Debbie how's things with you all? Hope Natalie is feeling well, I love the names she has chosen for her little girl <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 13. Hi Bird I can totally identify with your feelings of homesickness - it's not just a general "I miss people" feeling, it's real and horrible and colours your view of everything around you. Like you I am very close to my family and the feeling of not having them there has been a big wrench for me. I'm not going to roll out the old chestnut that you "haven't been here long enough" to settle, only you and your family know how you've been affected and what's best for you. All I CAN tell you is that for me, those despairing feelings began to subside after about six months and I don't feel half as bad as I used to. I still miss people but not to the extent I feel I can't cope without them any more. The worst thing is having to weigh up the pro's and con's. There are huge benefits for you living here as you have said, and other pluses for you to return. I wish you all the best of luck, and please come back to talk to us so you can work your feelings through - only someone who has emigrated will understand how you're likely to be feeling. Sue x
 14.
Will he let you keep the house for an extended week or two until you can find somewhere else? We had that option when we were in our last house, and it was still easily let again when we moved out. I am hoping that something comes along really soon for you. Job hunting, well.....lol....lots of hunting and not much snaring going on!! Something will turn up soon, I'm sure xxxx

 15.
Good afternoon!! I thought I'd drop by and see how your house hunting is going? XXX

 16.
Hello chick, how you getting on? Sue x

 17.
Hi Deb, the little dog is fine, she can be a PITA sometimes though, she's forever raiding the laundry basket for socks to chew! We haven't done anything to celebrate, we've had a really busy week with kids' swimming and Phil's work this week so maybe we might do something at the weekend instead. Hope all is well with you and yours, any news on the house front yet? Take care xxxx

 18.
There's nowt on the telly is there!!! We are watching Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais in it, not my fave actor but it's better than the alternatives! Bit of a boring weekend really went shopping yesterday for a white school shirt for Cameron, can't believe how hard that turned out to be, they're very rare here...!! Today we have done precisely nothing which was nice. I see you aren't feeling too well, hope u better soon...Claire has told me your good news, well done you and I hope it goes really, really well for you me love. Chat soon. Sue x

 19.
* Nutty Terrier - not "butty" !!!

 20.
Hello Mrs R-A! Well have had a very eventful day chasing the bloody butty terrier round the estate after it escaped through 2 doors and onto the street, it was like Born Free she was running like her life depended on it (which it almost did when I caught her, grrr). She has now made Alex cry because she has sneaked into her room and eaten her stuff. Bloody dog, where's my good karma!! LMAO!! Off to go comfort the Sad One xx

 21.
I've just seen a message from you from 10th January on my homepage - I'm so sorry Deb I never even saw it, don't know why!!! Think the old marbles are going rapidly....anyway sorry for that, you know I'd never ignore you on purpose. Hope all is well with the family, Natalie and her little lodger x

 22.
Aw, thank you for the friend request, am delighted to accept! Sue x

 23.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you Kate, hope it's a great one for you all. Lots of love from Sue x

 24.
Hehehehe!!! I feel like a right old bag at the minute, need some exercise!! Might stop me being a contender for the Morrissey impersonator of the Year, lol! Am not too bad today, we just have to ride out these feelings and get on with stuff, don't we mate? What about you, are you feeling any better XXXX

 25.

Dear Val and Baz

If you read this, I would just like to say that you and your family are in my thoughts as you try to get through this time of year without your precious son Rory. I send all my love to you. Sue xxxx
