Can all of us not make a joint representation to the Immigration minister requesting a faster closure of our cases. I am sure our appeal will be heard, knowing the fair go policy of Australia.

I reiterate that 90 percent of applications in category 5 be it onshore or offshore irrespective of subclass will be processed by December this year while the remaining in the coming new year. Starting July, you can see full throttle.

 

hi gagan, appreciate the effort that you took to provide us insider update.

i'm seriously considering to submit another application but this time with employer sponsorship, do you suggest to wait and see how things are going if the information about all application in cat 5 will be finish processed by December and early next year.

 

please let me know what's your thought.

After grant what to do

 

Can anybody suggest blog with after grant 175.

I would like to clarify following doubts.

 

1. Do we need to give any confirmation mail to DIAC after receipt of grant.

2. Do we need to intimate DIAC for our travel details.

3. What other things / formalities we need to do.

4. Travel Insurance is it mandatory?

New Budget for 2014-15 is out, but there are no changes to family sponsered visas. I don't think if we are going to get processed ever.:arghh:

This is not looking good at all.

if what showed on the table is real, those that is in category 5 primarily not as partner i think our chance is going to be really really slim.

I being sponsor by my bro, and I assume I falls under category "other family" group looking at the number only 500 seats, and mine application was submitted 08/2010 and majority of cat 5 group still stuck at 2009 year.

By the time they allocated all 500 visa i doubt that it is going to reach my application.

hi Gagan, what is your though? do you still stick with your insider tips that all cat 5 application will be processed by end of decemeber this year?

This gov is screwing us up too..... please help us god.....

It's good news, we fall into the new no 8 category so there are almost 29 000 visas this year

 

do you know if subclass 886 is categories in State/territory and regional nominated8 group?

You are looking at a different thing mate. That is for family migration, which is different. Our is just a sponsored category, but it is skilled migration. As you said in your second post, 886/176 all USED TO BE in the "Skilled Australian sponsored7" category before ("Includes brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, non-dependent children, working age parents, grandchildren and first cousins who have been skill tested"). Since last year, they have JOINED our category with the "State/territory sponsored" from before, to a NEW CATEGORY called "State/territory and regional nominated8" ("8 State/territory sponsored and Skilled Australian sponsored (Skilled Independent Regional) categories have been amalgamated into State/territory and regional nominated category since 2013–14").

True, Skilled Australian Sponsored is clubbed with State/Territory and Regional nominated category, which still holds 28850 applications.... I'm optimistic 176 FS should be cleared for 2014-15

I dont think anything much will be happening in two weeks except for a lot of disappointed people over here.

 

yes you right... every years at the same period we always hear the same story... "there will be a new financial year" "we hope that our application will be taken into considaration" "there a new quota"

even our GAGAN say last year the same thing!!!! "he heard things"

but guys dont be foolish.... there will be nothing more this year than last year.... all u will get is a total deception!!!

ived call the departement yesterday..... and all that they say... is there no new ministerial directive.... u will have to wait until all other priority cases finished and if there place left in the quota.. then may be i will have chance to get my application done!!!!

so you're sceptical that cat 5 group might not get processed for 2014/2015 program allocation too?
