Hi there, My visa was granted last week. Can anyone tell me what the next step is? Will i receive a letter to my home or do i just need to arrive in australia to validate it? cheers,

Firstly, Congratulations MGMICI, I wish you a speedy grant @DIBP - sort out your flipping processes. I applied July 2009, online, low risk and still waiting for contact from CO. The official website said 2 months ago I would be contacted within 2 weeks. Its a flippin joke and this waiting is making me ill! <end of rant>

Unfortunately I don't think there is anything you can do. My guess (my hope) is that the reason that they have allocated us is that they intend us for this years quota. I hope this means that we will have to be processed by end of June.

I tried to call but it went to an automated message saying the number was not being monitored at this time. Anyone have a direct contact number I can try ?

I agree the system is farcical for those of us that have no received any information from a case officer. The 2 week deadline by which a case officer is supposed to contact me passed 4 weeks ago. It seems to me that they are cherry picking (for whatever reason). While I dont begrudge those that have received Case officers and grants that applied after me (in some cases over 6 or 8 months after). Its hardly fair at all.
