  1. You are right. He needs a fund of 500K for this class action. 5K per apllicant only if they can get 100 applicants to sign in. It could be less than 5K if more than 100 people sign the agreement, Good luck!
  2. I think they're trying to get at least 100 people on board, only 3 have signed up so far. The lawyer is asking for 500k,
  3. It is going no where.....i guess this is the end of these visa categories. Take the refund guys....move on with your life
  4. How many are in your group and when do you expect the challenge is going to happen?
  5. It should't be a problem. I once applied BVB on Sept 2011 and was issued on the spot. I put visiting family member in the application form, and was given 12 months multiple entry.
  6. I rang them and they pull out all of my travel movements and checking all visas that I have held before. You have to answer a lot of questions before they can pull out your informations in their system. They then will be able to tell you exactly if you meet 4 years lawful residence in Australia, and the date that you will be eligible to put your application.
  7. They DO need to reinstate if they travel using their substantive Visa. Most people would have thought that since their substantive visa is still valid, the BVA is not kicked in yet (which is true) but once you are travelling out, the ineffective BVA is automatically killed. I found this in IMMI web: A Bridging visa B (BVB) is a temporary visa. It lets you leave and return to Australia while your application for a substantive visa is being processed. If you return to Australia within the specified travel period, you can then remain lawfully in Australia while your substantive visa application is being processed.A substantive visa is any visa which is not a bridging visa or a criminal justice visa or an enforcement visa. You can hold a substantive visa and a BVB at the same time. If you still hold a substantive visa that allows you to travel and you believe you can return to Australia before your substantive visa ends, it is your decision whether or not you want to apply for and be granted a BVB before you travel. If you decide not to get a BVB but use your substantive visa to travel, you will need to contact your case officer as soon as you return to Australia and before your substantive visa ends.
  8. I rang the IMMI today, and they check my travel movement, been advised I am eligible to apply by 22 May 2014. You don't have to reinstate the BVA upon returning if you travel using BVB. Only those who travel using their substantive visa need to reinstate their BVA.
  9. This is interesting.......after hours of searching my old files, I managed to find out a letter from immigration when I applied my 886. quote: ...." If you do not obtain a Bridging visa B while your substantive visa (for example any visitor visa, student visa or temporary residence visa you may hold) is still valid, and you depart and re-enter Australia using you substantive visa, you must apply for a replacement Bridging visa A on return." Does it means ONLY if we depart and re-enter Australia using a valid substantive visa, then we MUST apply for a replacement of BVA?. Anyway, I think will call IMMI on Monday to find out if I am eligible or not to apply for the citizenship by June 2014 or I have to wait until June 2017.
  10. Thanks. It seems that I have been living unlawfully in Australia since I did not reinstate my BVA upon returning to Australia. Now I have to wait until 22 May 2017 before I put my citizenship application.:arghh:
  11. When my student visa expired on November 2009, my BVA kicked in. Before I left in mid Dec 2009 I applied for BVB. I would have thought that If we have BVA then travelled on BVB we don't have to reinstate our BVA when we come back.....????
  12. I arrived in Australia on 18 Jan 2007 and my student visa last until 25 Nov 2009. Applied Permanent visa Subclass 886 on 11 May 2009. Travel overseas on BVB in Dec 2009 and came back end of Jan 2010. (BVB valid for 3 months) Travel overseas on BVB for second time in Sept 2011 for 2 weeks. (BVB valid for 12 months) 886 visa was granted on 22 May 2013. 1. Do we have to reinstate our BVA upon returning to Australia when we travel under BVB ? or will it be automatically reinstate once we enter Australia? 2. Could I apply for the citizenship by June 2014?
  13. No I am not, used to be Singapore PR. You have to wait until your CO ask you for the Spore COC. He will give you an appeal letter which must be submitted together with your COC application COC appeal application, and bank draft in spore dollar for the application fee plus and postage (last time was Sin$50, which Sin$45 application fee + Sin$ 5 postage). On average it will take about one month to process, and they will sent the COC directly to your CO. There is no quick way to get it. So you have to make sure those four things before you sent the application, letter of appeal from ur CO, COC application form for non-citizen, COC appeal application, and Bank Draft. Good Luck.....
  14. My CO was from Team 23 Brisbane, assigned on 8 April 2013. All requested documents were uploaded on 13 May 2013 ( late uploaded of docs due to a long waiting time to get Singapore Police Clearance, which took me a month to get it). Visa was granted on 22 May 2013.
  15. You are right, plenty of water and relaxxxxx......as stress will only raise ur blood pressure. Good luck...
