I bet they will start nearer MAY or end of MAY. thats what they normally do every year but this time they are actually processing CAT 5 so we might be in luck... We applied for the 176 Oct 2009 and today our immigration lawyer has requested police checks, medicals, etc. She says that although they haven't heard from the dept regarding our visa specifically, 'due to its recent activities, we are hoping your application may be considered at some stage this year'. All the status I see are dated back in Mar 2010. The best you can do is what I do, keep checking your case online every couple of days. its not a perfect system but its better than nothing. koopmaster Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 thats a very good sign, still rather have the money ready for the check and dont actually do them as they are only valid for a year and your visa entry date will be the expiry date of the health checks.
