Wolla Bolla Bing Bong
What is a fig roll? A fig roll is made by the Gods with special secret ingredients and when you taste it, its like 'heaven in a biscuit'. I have to stay away from them as once I open the packet, I say to myself, 'just two with my cuppa and thats it'. But before I know it, I am placing the empty packet in the bin. :embarrassed: So I only purchase them as a treat now and if ever see them in the supermarket, I swiftly hurry past with my hands over my face. Where do you get your figrolls from? Was out shopping yesterday and found some and immediately thought of you:wubclub: HaHa, so do you have a Home Bargains near you? In there you can get Lyons Figrolls for 29p a pack, and boyland? (i think i got the name right) for 39p, im sure thats a snippet of the supermarket price. Thought it important to let you know (seeing as you love them soooooooooooo much)in case you didn't shop there and had one near you, as you could get double the number for your money:biglaugh::biglaugh:

I do buy some of the Boyland figs, however the Figs from Home & Bargain tend to have too much biscuit and not enough Fig, :biglaugh: Sorry I can be a little picky. Of course if someone purchased a packet of the Home & Bargain Figs for me, then I wouldnt turn them down. Jacobs are the best and you pay the extra for them too. I wonder if new PIO members reading this thread are wondering what the hell they have joined where members, talk about biscuits and prices. They probably think we're a bunch of oddballs. You like to nibble around the edges?? hmmmmm And apparently I am the weird one for loving Figs :biglaugh:I know a friend who use to eat Kit Kats like that way....gets very messy. Mmmmm - I'm a nibbler around the edges of many things. Fig rolls - cos the fig bit is the best... Most things round that you can hold in your hand and eat... wagon wheels around the jam centre... I wonder if new PIO members reading this thread are wondering what the hell they have joined where members, talk about biscuits and prices. They probably think we're a bunch of oddballs. They would be right! I was almost sane at the beginning of this... (although many would disagree) If I ever get there they may have to remove me from a padded cell to give me my visa Well we have to be to keep putting up with this mess!! /QUOTE] Yup Am travelling around at the moment so in cafes - could bear to comment on the other thread re the further non news on the smps... I would just sink into misery Soooooo peed off with it all very with you and your comments Jodie - I just hope the states start really screaming like mad to get something moving. But we are hopefully going shopping for a new sofa (to go with a few other items we have bought recently) when I get home. Then I think we will sit down and look at another option which we keep putting off for a year now as the latest news is always just around the corner - we have had out lives on hold since 2007 (although didn't apply till later). Mind you if we had applied for NZ as a plan B when we originally thought of it we would probably have been in Christchurch when the earthquake hit as have family there! Well I really hope the states can put pressure - they must be peed off waiting after their work on the smps and also if they are wanting the skilled people. Libbysmum - I really hope that someone wins this competition - but maybe the prise should be a straight jkacket - or sessions with a therapist! libbysmum
Are you a betting man/woman?? I thought it might be a fun idea to hold a sort of competition about the release date of the first SMP. There won't be any prize per se, other than the winner will get to bask in the glory that they were right!! :spinny: Respond to this thread stating which state you think will release their SMP first and on which date. You don't have to name a particular state if you think that the release will be synchronised - ie all states being released on the same day, just reply "synchronised release" Only one person can nominate any particular state on any particular date, so first come first served. (more than one state can be nominated per date, so for example somebody might say VIC on the 21st August and somebody else might say WA on 21st August - thats fine) :policeman: I'll go first and say synchronised release - December 1st, reason being it'll be our 1st anniversary since lodging our visa, and have no other way of predicting :goofy: I'll try to keep the list updated as often as I can on the front page so people know whats still available. Ill use a colour key as shown below to identify which state any particular person has chosen. So come on peeps guess away, cos lets face it, thats what this whole charade is just lately a guessing game!! Final date for entries: 20th August 2010 Colour Key: Synchronised Release ACT NSW WA SA VIC QLD NT TAS July 22nd 23rd 24th 25th 26th 27th 28th 29th John gilfilan Winner of the Losers!! I was wondering whether to open this competition up again to both newcomers and those whose first guess was wrong, as I'm so bored sitting around doing nothing!! Any thoughts? Do you think it fair:huh: It is only a bit of fun after all. Who knows, they may NEVER materialise!! If people are happy for me to reopen the competition to all then I guess I will have to include a good few months into 2011, but how many?
