Hi wondering if anyone can help, I was assigned a CO today and they are requesting medicals for myself, migrating and non-migrating children but the names and HAP IDs given are for myself, my husband and my step daughter both are Australian and live in Australia, I'm guessing it's just a mistake and they will respond to my email with the correct names etc. It is just myself and my son that is migrating and my daughter will be staying here with her dad, does she still need to have a medical, I was under the impression she didn't need one as she isn't moving. Also anyone else with CO IH I haven't seen them initials in the table as yet. Sorry for the long winded post, was really excited about getting a CO but worried now. :frown:

Thanks! We applied 25th June and no we got the 309. We have been together over 3 years now but on the date we applied it was just under 3 years but I was expecting the 309 so we are very happy

When did you complete your Medical / PC ? also do you know the date when CO was assigned?

We were assigned a CO early September and they asked us to get a medical and police check 3 months later. Medical was done December 11th and got my police check the 20th December. I really hope yours arrives soon we did have a simple case we have no kids no previous marriages but was a lot sooner than I thought so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :cute:

Our non non migrating children both needed medicals and one needed police check as over 16 x

We've had our 100 visa granted! Woo hoo! Was a surprise as we were told 10-14months and it came in 7! It's going to be an exciting year! :laugh:

I am just wondering if these quick 7-9 month visas being granted are all self applied for or whether some are done through a migration agent too? Hoping it's a mixture as I've gone through and agent and obviously if I had a chance of it coming through quicker too that would be a real bonus!

I doubt that matters tbh. There is no logic or pattern that I am aware of to the grant system anyone has been able to fathom in all the years I've been on the forum :goofy:

Its often been the way that the official timeline is given but grants come through earlier for a period of time. However, there are times when grants take longer and the grant speed slows down. I guess it depends on the amount of applications, how busy the CO's are (they don't deal only with partner visas) and who knows what else :GEEK:

Either way, if it comes through early its a bonus. If it takes the timeframe, at least people are prepared for the wait

Me again!!! So my migration agent emailed me today to say she had received a visa request and I can go ahead and arrange my medical and police checks. I have also got the name of my case officer but it is only signed off by first name I think so only have "I" as an initial.

Now they have asked for more de facto relationship evidence from 2014 I.e joint named utility bills/bank statements etc. we don't have anything like this. I moved in to my partners house, he already had a mortgage and all bills were in his sole name. We never changed these as he pays all these and I pay for other things. We have no joint bank accounts. I have provided bank statements and other correspondence of mine and my partners separately showing that we have both lived at the same address since 2013. Also provided copies of joint party invites and also showed copies of holiday bookings in our names and also photos of us and the children on holiday. What else can I provide? We really have nothing that gets addressed to us jointly! This has worried me a little!! Anyone else experienced this problem?

Christmas/birthday cards? Invitations? Friends Facebook photos showing the two of you together? Written evidence from other family members...

Do you have bills addressed to you individually at the same address? For example, if you both have your own cars, you would have car insurance paperwork sent to you at the address you live at? Also your drivers licences should be the same address if that is where you are both living. Named the other on the car insurance policies as the named driver? Life insurance policy where one or the other of you names the other. Doesn't have to be a policy each.

AA membership naming you both? Medical insurance policy together?

Also things like mobile phone bills to the same address. Your individual bank statements to the same address would be brilliant. If you moved in you would notify your bank of a change of address so would have your bank stuff sent to the same place as your partner. Surely if you have your phone on a contract you notified them you had moved and can request the bills if you can't print them out?

You need to be able to provide proper evidence you are living as de facto. So if your partner is paying the mortgage and bills from his account, can you not show transfers into his account from your own where you can reflect you contribute toward these things?

Did you explain about the finances and why it is as it is in your supporting statements? Highlight your bank accounts to show transfers of money between you? Where you paid for the shopping each week at Tesco for you both? Salary slips sent to the same address?

I'd be asking your agent about this stuff as they should be on the ball with what is needed. The 12 months prior to lodging generally requires evidence to cover every month so you should have sent that in when you submitted. We sent in a bill or bank statement for each month of the 12. Plus husband sent in 2 years of salary slips to show he was the main earner. And life insurance policy. And car insurance for 3 years showing him as named driver on my policy.

Oh yes, and council tax, voting papers, warranties, mobile phone bills, receipts for things you've bought for the house (and photos) neighbours statements. Google Earth photos showing your car (I know the reg is blanked out, but make model and colour) Amazon account details??

Joint invites etc. phone bill contracts I can add to that and wage slips. Migration agent said she would go through paperwork I have already sent in. Maybe she kept some bits back which she can use? I have honestly given all what I can think of. I pay for shopping, Phone line and household items out of my own account and he pays bills and mortgage out of his. I don't transfer to him for payments. Although there have been some things in the past I have transferred money for so I could prove that but not been on a regular basis. Hopefully I am worry about nothing and a few more items I can give will suffice. Just that we have nothing addressed to us jointly.

Many of us submitted bills in one of our names only, however, we probably could and did also provide bills in both our names as well or had wills or life insurance or were named on a mortgage or lease together. I know we had both our names council tax and water bills. All the others it was one of the other of us. And we had our own bank accounts and a joint account and could show money going between them regularly.

Did you provide 12 months worth of bank statements (even a page from each month if there are multiple pages)? Not the full every transaction type ones but the monthly overviews sort? For you both? If not, I'd consider if its worth getting those submitted.

Did you explain the finances in your statements? Covered how the household works and why? It is important to break it down for them. Have you got 12 months of phone line bill? Did you submit them all or just a few?

You have been asked to provide more official recognised supporting evidence by your CO. My understanding is you will be expected to provide this within a set timeframe. If its not submitted they will make a decision on the evidence they have. I was asked to submit a document by my CO within 28 days of the request with that explanation about the decision. We had expected it might be asked for and had it ready to send in. It hadn't been on the check list at all so we had waited to be asked.

Me again!!! So my migration agent emailed me today to say she had received a visa request and I can go ahead and arrange my medical and police checks. I have also got the name of my case officer but it is only signed off by first name I think so only have "I" as an initial.

Now they have asked for more de facto relationship evidence from 2014 I.e joint named utility bills/bank statements etc. we don't have anything like this. I moved in to my partners house, he already had a mortgage and all bills were in his sole name. We never changed these as he pays all these and I pay for other things. We have no joint bank accounts. I have provided bank statements and other correspondence of mine and my partners separately showing that we have both lived at the same address since 2013. Also provided copies of joint party invites and also showed copies of holiday bookings in our names and also photos of us and the children on holiday. What else can I provide? We really have nothing that gets addressed to us jointly! This has worried me a little!! Anyone else experienced this problem?

What about evidence of future commitment? Do you have wills? Have you got life insurance policies for each other? Joint plans for future, investments. Are you Godparents to any children? Anything like that might help.

I am mentioned in his will. I will send a copy of this today. I am gathering every little scrap of evidence I can think of. Keeping fingers crossed it will all be ok.
