How long have you go overseas for? I was hoping to go for just 3 days which I thought would be enough but my CO advised me to go for 5 days.

If he applied outside Australia he will have to leave for it to be granted. I came on an e visitor visa, received an email to say I have to leave so it can be granted.

Oh no that isn't fair, hope it gets sorted out for you. I had to leave every 3 months on the e visitor visa, I went on a South Pacific cruise and when I returned my e visitor visa had been cancelled because I wasn't considered offshore. I had to go immigration and my argument was it states no where on the visa that I can't travel on a cruise. In the end I had to get a visitor visa, more money spent. :wacko:

I've not booked my flights yet, going to Christchurch since there is cheap flights from Brisbane. I just got back from a cruise so I can't afford to go elsewhere, I was on a e visitor visa and had to leave the country. It's been stressful and I'll be glad when I get the grant.

Where are you going and how long for? So when you sent your CO the flight details they informed you they would grant the visa on the first day your offshore? :rolleyes:

I just checked my emails, my visa is ready to be granted! "The processing of your application has reached the stage where I am in a position to grant your visa. If your application is granted, you will be required to make an initial entry to Australia before 03/06/2016" YAY! Time to book my flights.

Yeah I expected to get my grant this week, I don't understand why it takes so long when everything has been approved. The CO doesn't even acknowledge my emails. :elvis:

Has there been no grants this week? I knew the 7 month mark wouldn't last, just my luck :shocked:

I got my passport certified, you can do it at the Post Office. The statutory declaration forms have to be certified/signed.

So after the 2 years you had to send more paperwork and now you've been waiting 9 months for it to be granted? Jesus, I didn't know it would be that lengthy. I thought if you've got enough evidence after 2 years you'd get the permanent visa granted straight away.

I didn't get notified when I uploaded my police clearance, it's just a case of waiting now. I'm hoping to receive an email to say I've got my visa granted this month since it's been 7 months.

I would wait, my CO gave me my HAP ID which is needed to complete your medical.

I have V too, your the first I've seen to have the same CO as me. When did you apply?

I got an Australian police certificate sent to the UK within 7 days.

I really hope I get the grant before the 14th February, I'm going overseas because I'm on the e visitor visa so it would mean I would enter Australia with the residency visa. It's great to hear everyone getting their grants before the 10 month mark.

Hi all I completed my medical and I checked the health assessment status on my immiaccount. It says "All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue. This will not occur until a case officer investigates the case in line with published processing times for the visa that has been applied for. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime." I take it this means that there was nothing wrong and I just now have to wait? :jiggy:

Ahh I understand, just thought it was odd that my CO didn't include their surname. I only received the random generic email that everyone else seemed to receive, but after my previous post I checked my emails and my CO contacted me to say that I've met the relationship requirements and requested for me to do a health examination. I wonder if they check this forum? :biglaugh:

Hey all, I haven't been on here for a while. I got the case officer V assigned on 5th November, no idea why it took so long and I'm doing my medical tomorrow.

I front-loaded the police checks but not the medical, I'll get in contact with the department and see what they say. It would just be nice to know they've actually started the process, having to wait 9-12 months is long enough. :cry:

I still haven't received an email to say I've been assigned a CO and I've checked the correspondence and it only says "application has been received" has anyone else had to wait this long before being assigned a CO?
