Bound4Tassie
Without me searching back lots of pages, what is all this about? I've just been granted 309, but applied December 2014. I was expecting 100 (so PR) by this coming December. Is this not the case? If nemesis' agent is correct then there is a big backlog in the processing of 309's to 100. When the prices went up there was no longer a financial benefit to staying off shore while the initial visa is being processed so now there are loads more onshore applications which for some reason are taking precedent. The Raillys
You know, it would now probably have been quicker for my husband and I to have sat it out in different countries after our marriage until we had been married for three years, and then applied for the visa. We would have got his PR straight away. Instead we stupidly applied after getting married, April 2013, got the Temp visa, hung around for the 2 years, and have now been waiting 9 months since submitting all the PR paperwork - with no sign of a PR grant and estimates being bandied around that he still may have another 10 months to wait. On the point of giving up and going home as he keeps getting rejected for jobs due to having no PR. ---------------------------- For anyone applying now, the PR grants are stuck in a queue behind all the onshore applicants who came here to apply after the price increase. Thats no good! so without PR is it hard to find work?

Jen44
Hi everyone. We were asked to submit 4 extra pieces of evidence. The UK police check, the Medical, form 80 and a South African police clearance. We have done the first 3 bits and uploaded them all but we are still waiting for the SA police to come back. The deadline to submit these has passed this week. If any of you have missed a deadline, how did you notify the dept? I have used the online form to let them know but you get no confirmation of this and have had no response. I phoned them today and the person I spoke to said firstly that the CO had looked at our file yesterday and noted that there was no UK police check done (it is definitely uploaded to immi - I checked) and said to reply to the original email I got from the case officer requesting the evidence. I have done that and got an automated response saying that this email was for submitting documents only?!?! Should I do anything else???? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk hey Tracy, I'm still waiting for my Spanish police check to come back.. I was told to apply for it after the 19th December so sent for it on 23rd.. It should have only taken 10 days but I've now been told there's a big back log at the moment due to Spanish law change so instead for taking 10 days it will take 2 months!! I'm using an agent & she has ask for an extension, I scanned my receipt from the post office so they could see when I sent for it... I haven't heard anything for the pasted week so I assume that everything is ok.... At the end of the day it's out of our hands.. I know of others waiting for police checks from other countries so we are not the only ones.... Hope this helps a little
AusCitizen
@tracy8099 we too were asked to upload the police clearance even though it was already there! Maybe some kind of glitch in their system?
Amandaandchris
I don't come on here very often as the whole process has worn me out, but it's so nice to see so many grants coming through. We're on our second visa application now as our first was refused, fingers crossed it's soon, just want to stop living life in limbo. Congratulations to everyone who has received their visas recently! Second 309 applied - 30/06/2015 Waiting, waiting.....

Maybe some kind of glitch in their system? That's what I thought as new they had asked for yours again and even said that to the lady on the phone. Did you check to see if yours was definitely uploaded? Mine is definitely there.
tracy8099
I scanned the police certificate and loaded it there Yes but there are other drop down options within. That section. Which one did you use?
AusCitizen
Yep, it was definitely there originally but uploaded it again to be sure! Now it shows twice but as long as they get one of them we should be fine!

Now it shows twice but as long as they get one of them we should be fine! Good idea to upload again. And I'm going to email it to CO as well. Only problem is I've uploaded 58 things and only allowed 60. Hopefully it's just the sa police check and that will lake 60. There is still space to upload under sponsor. At least you know it can't be approved until next month anyway which makes it two months from the date you sent off for the police check. Still, it's always nice to know that everything is in and ready to go! We're nearly there :cute:

Agent said I may have to apply for it again when I do the next part of visa but June next year is the 10 year mark so hoping if they ask for police checks after that date I won't need to unless it goes on the date u put yr application in!?!?

The statutory declaration forms have to be certified/signed.
Bound4Tassie
You don't need to get your passport certified. Just upload a colour scan of the details/photo page. The stat decs need signing by the person doing it obviously and witnessed but then it can just be scanned and uploaded. This is what I did and there was no problem/ query. Visa was granted last month.

Guest
Hi everyone... anyone on the 309 visa can you answer this for me? What is listed next to working rights on your visa? i'm hoping with a bit of luck it says permanent??! Have you been granted the 100 or 309? The 309 is the temp part, the 100 the PR part. Full work rights come with both.
