  1. Thanks, that's the reason for choosing the autumn so we could ease the kids and the cat's into the warmer summer. Time is definitely going to fly by with lots still to do,looking forward to the move but slightly apprehensive after living in the UK for 16 year's.
  2. Wife's visa granted on Monday the 19th, so about 6 and a half months. Probably would have been quicker but had to wait about 3 months to get medical done, waiting for daughter number 2 to be born. Straight to the 100, not going until next may but I think the time is going to fly by.
  3. Starting to try and organise the house, have packed a few boxes. was just wondering if we use a move cube and pack everything ourselves is the insurance more expensive than using a container when they pack it all for you. Also if we do go for the container option and we have already packed some of our own boxes is this an issue.
  4. Not done police check or medical yet. my wife is 35 weeks pregnant so the case officer said to get the medical done as soon as she feels up to it once the baby is born. Probably do the police check about the same time. It was nice to speak to someone, just makes all all a bit more real. No rush for us as we are aiming for around this time next year.
  5. 6th of March, so only a few days before you. If it wasn't for the phone call we probably wouldn't have known, as our immi account status hasn't changed.
  6. We've got a co , had a phone call yesterday just to clarify a few things. But she said everything In our application was fine and should be straight forward.
  7. Hi all, we are trying to add additional information to our application. We are expecting baby number 2 in June and we haven't registered our first daughter as an australian citizen yet as we are going to get them both done at the same time. If we write a letter explaining what we are planning, any suggestions on what category to upload it into. Thanks for any help
  8. Hi, yes I agree unfortunately I have copped it both ways. I originally came over on a working holiday visa, met my now wife and have since paid for an array of work visas / marriage visas. Thinking it might be a good idea to get my uk citizenship before moving home. although it's about 1 thousand pounds.
  9. hi, yes a lot of money just to be able to take my family home. feel a bit annoyed that my own country is charging me to come home. although they would say they are charging my wife, i don't see the difference. But still looking forward to moving home with my family.
  10. Finally got around to submitting forms and paying the outrageous fee, just uploading evidence. Forms submitted on the 6-3-16 , let the waiting begin.
  11. I've scanned in most of our documents as jpg images and combined them into different categories. Will this method work.
  12. I'm on the list. Better get those forms submitted, and empty out that bank account.
  13. Once we submit our application and pay the fee, is there a time limit on uploading all the evidence . ??? Thanks for any help.
  14. Just typed mine up. It's not quite one A4 page, but it covers all the requested points. has everyone else written loads of pages.
  15. Hi all, we have just finished rough copies of our relationship statements. can we type them up on the computer, or do they need to be hand written. ??? Thanks for any help.
  16. Thanks snifter, we have been together 15 years and married for 10 of them. I think that we have loads of evidence. Start to second guess yourself when you read through evidence requirements .
  17. Hi all , I've got two Australian citizens filling in forms 888. Is there a form for British family and friends or can they just write statements . Thanks for any help
  18. Thanks for the reply, I thought I had read that on here. Just wasn't sure if it was wishful thinking.
  19. Hi all, long time lurker just compiling all our evidence, attempting to get organised before we start filling in forms .if you apply online do you still need to get documents certified. Thanks for any help on the first of hopefully not too many daft questions to come.

Another great park to visit on the gold coast is currumbin sanctuary, more low key than the big parks , but great for familys.or take a drive through tallibudgera valley its like being in the country side, so close to the rat race...
  22. Hi we hired a car car on the gold coast for three weeks in feb .. we didn't take the xtra insurance as it works out so expensive over that length of time , so we took the risk. but the excess is very high if something does go wrong... Also if you can book the car hire from an australian computer as they charge a load more for a overseas booking, I learnt this the hard way ..
  23. As an aussie living in the uk i can tell you they do not make it easy for us , after many visas and many thousands of pounds , not to mention the countless hoops i have had to jump through...
