Hi Alyceinozlan and other team members, can you please guide me on how can I look into my immi account for the update? It was lodged through MA and she said that she is happy to provide me with an update as many times I call her (Obviously, she did not mean that but I need everyday updates)

How do I link my application so every morning I can see what's the update.

Thanks in advance

@Vee Shah haha, why do you need updates everyday 🙂

Personally, I'd suggest you try avoid it but I can completely understand - I myself would try limit myself to looking twice a day.

Create / login to your Immi account --> Import application --> Enter the required details (TRN number from your bridging visa and Passport details) --> import.

NOTE: This will only import and you'll only have access to see details of your Visa application, nothing to do with the nomination application (this contains company finances and hence, updates of same are only available to your MA and company on request).

Good luck!

Thanks Hex, would my MA know that I have done this?

@Vee Shah This one is still unclear (no one has ever asked their MA this) 🙂

However, from my experience and others mentioned here, I don't think they know anything about this.
- As long as you don't make any changes (strongly suggest you don't - rather go through your MA) and only use it to view your process / status, everything should remain anonymous.

Yay!

I've finally got my golden e-mail this morning - was just randomly checking my e-mail inbox on the way to the office. Fortunately, they didn't issue any additional S56 requests (even though my AFP is expired since 20th Sep) and granted the visa straight away.

I didn't expect myself to feel so happy before I applied. Maybe, it is because of all the time I was actively waiting for it. I can't even imagine how some of you guys here feel waiting for months already - really hope you will get your PRs shortly!

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Hi,

I'm a silent follower of this forum. I'm planning to apply for nomination next week as I received my positive skill assessment (General accountant). I need help in providing evidence on Annual market salary rate (AMSR) for my role. Does the immigration department accept the industrial award as an evidence. I'm asking this as the responsibilities provided in the award are generic :

B.1.8 Support Services employee—level 8

Employees at this level will typically have worked or studied in a relevant field and will have achieved a standard of relevant and/or specialist knowledge and experience sufficient to enable them to independently advise on a range of activities and features and contribute,as required,to the determination of objectives,within the relevant field/s of their expertise.

They are responsible and accountable for their own work;and may have delegated responsibility for the work under their control or supervision,in terms of,inter alia,scheduling workloads,resolving operations problems,monitoring the quality of work produced as well as counselling staff for performance as well as work related matters.

They would also be able to train and to supervise employees in lower levels by means of personal instruction and demonstration. They often exercise initiative,discretion and judgment in the performance of their duties.

The possession of relevant post secondary qualifications may be appropriate but not essential.

Indicative typical duties and skills in this level may include:

  • ●operating and having responsibility for a complex and diverse payroll system;

    ●applying detailed knowledge of the organisation’s objectives,performance,projected areas of growth,product trends and general industry conditions for the purposes of assisting in developing policy or new products and services to meet changing market needs or other circumstances;

    ●using computer software packages including evaluating and determining optimum software solutions or the integration of complex word processing/data/graphics text;

    ●finalising quotations or costings by applying a detailed knowledge of variable inputs,margins,market conditions,supply and delivery arrangements;or

    ●preparing internal reports for management in any or all of the following areas:

    (a) account/financial;

    (b) staffing;

    (c) legislative requirement;and

    (d) other significant company activities/operations.

Yes, I did them straight away. In general, I just tried to make my application as decision-ready as possible. If I knew that the Disclosure Statement was required with NZ police clearance I would have provided it as well... But anyway, 1 extra month is not much time to wait!

Other guys from my company received the decision the same day the nomination was granted (in ~2 weeks after it was lodged), so I'm guessing the fact that the company used the big immigration services provider and also that the company itself is relatively big has made a difference - but it is only my speculation. One guy also used an immigration agent to lodge his visa application.

@fifi186 All correspondence and feedback is averaged at (what they say) is 28 working days. You're lucky if you get anything back sooner than this and it's typically longer.
- The averages used to be around 30-40 days, but that was on a s56, not sure on correspondence.

In case of visa not approved what happens then? As in what’s the timeline that you need to leave the country or apply again?

EDIT: Just out of interest, haven’t got refused visa

Hi @Kinnu, there is no straight answer to this question. It all depends on what visa one hold currently. Your existing visa will still be valid unless it is a bridging visa.

What if you’re on a bridging visa?

Your right to stay in the country is solely based on the conditions of the visa you are currently on.

If your main visa (457/482/...) is still valid you can check its conditions. Otherwise, if your main visa has expired and you are now on the Bridging Visa you can check its conditions as well:
- Bridging Visa A - https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/bridging-visa-a-010#About
- Bridging Visa B - https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/bridging-visa-b-020
- Other - https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing
