Hi Folks, just some questions- trying to wrap my head around what the next couple of stages look like.

Does your status automatically change from initial to further assessment once the 28 days after s56 request has passed?

After the 28days have passed are you no longer able to upload documents?

Thanks 🙂

You can upload documents any time you want. Not sure about the status workflow, but I would expect the status to change either on the date of the deadline or
once you press "I confirm I have provided information as requested"

It will be changed to further assessment  when your case officer checked out requested docs.... Thank you

Very quiet couple of days...

It will be like this untill the end of Financial year when they have to get there targets . They don’t care  what people are going through because of this waiting game. We 4 from the same company applied and all of them have got the residency and I am still waiting 😤. It make me sad ☹️ everyday

@Saugat There's a timeline for a reason.

Hoping it comes through soon - stay strong!

Hi Hex,

Once your nomination approved did the status of your Immi account changed at all. I see the timeline of your visa granted which is one month and four days . Did your Immi account updated at all ???

Hi everyone, Accountant for 186 DE here.

My MA told me that usually the time frame for visa decision, once nomination is approved, tends to be no longer than a few months. But looking at the spreadsheet I can see several accountants with nominations approved back in March, April, and June, none with visas granted.

Is there an extra delay for accountants? I thought once the nomination was approved, that means you're essentially in the next stage of processing, so it would be similar time frames for all professions?

I'm really hoping that perhaps the accountants just haven't updated the spreadsheet...

I think it’s just that DE has longer processing times than TRT.

I don't think that's the reason, the Accountants I'm referring to in the spreadsheet are about half and half TRT and DE.

Eg. There's a TRT Accountant with nomination approved back in March and still no Visa.

It seems like the only Accountants who have been granted visas are those where nomination and visa application were assessed together... those where it's assessed separately, none of the visas seem to have been done. There's even one with nomination approved in January 2019, and no visa.

8 months seems a very long time between nomination approval and visa grant, and not at all in keeping with the rest of the spreadsheet! Is there a way to check what professions will take longer? eg. DIBP allocations?

Hello

I read somewhere this “Typically, if a request for further information is sent, no one will look at the application again until the 28 day deadline has passed”

is it true?thanks

Based on different people timelines it seems to be the case in almost 90% situations. Sometimes it is much longer than 28 days, rarely - quicker (2-3 weeks). It is 30th day since I received S56. Yesterday I applied for a new AFP  as my current one has expired today. At least AFP processes requests quickly, it took them just 1 business day to issue a certificate, unfortunately they don't provide a PDF copy of it so I will have to wait for it to be mailed.

Still waiting now onto 4th week after Nomination approval !!!! I don’t know what the process they have in Immigration it’s really bad

If you didn't receive S56/decision it means that they haven't touched your visa as yet... Unfortunately, there are many people with nomination approved who are waiting for a long time after. Seems like they assess nomination and visa almost always separately. Hopefully, yours will be assessed soon!

It is 28 working days (Monday to Friday)or calendar days(including Saturday and Sunday)?

i have no idea how this processing times works I just hope this nightmare will end soon

Unfortunately, 28 days is a deadline given for you to provide documents, not for them to assess your visa. 28 calendar days starting from the next day after you received your s56

I honestly don’t know if it was  s56

because they requested some extra info about the company (like tax back and bank statements)no about me

I have all documents submitted even Medical is done as well , It’s making me crazy now just this way of Immigration taking cases Obviously If somebody has nomination , there is a visa file as well . It took 8 months for my Nomination to be approved, it looks like another year until they move there fat a&$
