  1. Hi everyone, our visa was granted on the 13th after 15months wait After 8 years in Australia we are finally permanent residents and can finally start living and planning our lives properly. Thank you for everyone for their support and good luck for those who are still waiting
  2. Just thought to send an update if anyone is/will be in the same situation. It took two case officers and three s56 request for the medicals for our baby until Bupa was able to proceed with them.... Not sure what they are doing over there but doesn’t seem professional at all. Now the waiting game is on again. Let’s see if we receive yet another s56 or if this would be it
  3. Yes, we are aware of that. Baby goes under the parents visa and in our case bridging visa, that wasn’t my question. When the child is born in Australia and is under six months old the baby needs health exam ‘on papers’ meaning a letter from GP. We have provided that already as per their request months ago. When the baby is over six month he/she needs health exam in Bupa. We went to Bupa on the appointment we made and they told us that they cannot do the health examinations as immigration still shows the exam needed is ‘on papers’ which is incorrect. MA contacted immigration and they send new s56 for health examination where it says 'no health examinations required’ but the status still remains as actions required and flag is there meaning they are waiting a response to the s56, but we can’t provide that as Bupa is unable to do so. MA said she has never seen this before and contacted immigration again. So we are stuck in between them waiting response to s56 and Bupa saying there is nothing they can do without the correct request and our MA saying she doesn’t know what is going on. In short, baby received s56 for health checks, we made appointment and once arrived there they told us they cannot proceed as the request is for a baby under six months and our baby is just past six month. MA requested immigration to fix that and the following day they send another s56 for health examination with line ‘no health examinations required’ and status on immi account still saying actions required. hopefully this clears the situation a bit more?
  4. Hey, anyone been in this situation?? We received our THIRD s56 request. Requesting health check for our baby who is just past 6 months old. You don’t need healt check for a baby who is under 6 months old and born in Australia, you need a letter from GP saying he is examined the baby ect. Which we provided when our baby was only few weeks old. Now as baby is over 6 months the immigration requested the health check, we made a booking with BUBA only to go there and be told that they cannot do it reason being that in their system (which is directly from the immigration) it is saying the health exam required is ‘on papers’ as in the one we provided months ago. They told us we need to contact immigration and get it changed to the exam they need for babies over 6 months old. Our migration agent was in contact with immigration and on the following day we received yet another s56 request for health check but on the actual s56 there is a line ‘no health examinations required’. Status still further assessment and action needed: health check. Our MA said she has never seen this before and need to contact immigration again. This is extremely frustrating.
  5. In case of visa not approved what happens then? As in what’s the timeline that you need to leave the country or apply again? EDIT: Just out of interest, haven’t got refused visa
  6. It’s been 132 days since the first s56 and 36 days since the second one for us. Still nothing. And yes, we are counting
  7. TRT visas seems to be approved way quicker than DE, seems to have quicker estimated processing times. Just wondering if anyone who has applied DE is same timelines with our applications? Or how many months has it been before approved?
  8. I am aware of the waiting times and have been in Centrelink Centre regarding the benefits after the PR grant. There are waiting periods for parental leave pay, dad and partner pay ect. Even on Centrelink website there is no mention for waiting period regarding Child Care Subsidy, to be eligible you need to have PR - no waiting periods mentioned for this benefit. I might be wrong but this is what I’ve been told from different people from two different Centrelink Centres.
  9. Not sure how that goes but we’ve been told from numerous of different people from Centrelink that once we have PR we get the benefits. Not sure if it’s different as we’ve been over here for 8 years already..
  10. Hi, see my signature. Our anxiety is horrible and we don’t get anything from Centrelink regarding childcare so really struggling with money! It makes me extremely frustrated and depressed to see people’s applications being approved in short period of time..
  11. Been waiting longer than 6 weeks. Wonder if there is any timelines for what’s the average waiting period after s56?
