Dear @KKD: It is really a sad news. Would you please write a but more to what extent the business incurred loss, Whether the training benchmarks were ok,  Any adverse information of the business, no of employees, whether Australian citizens are working in the business, statement regarding the real need of the position etc. Because only loss of the business is not enough to refuse an application.

Actually it is enough and we have seen it countless times on this thread.

thanks for your reply mate, well CO contacted my lawyer today he approved my nomination today but could not grant the visa coz he asked me another AFP again arrggg.

i have a last name issue, it appears together ( first name and last) on my passport but separate on other docs so he wants another AFP which should show my given name and lats name ,

i hope it make sense.

Does any one knows the quickest way to get AFP?  my friend says i can do it through broker or agencies by paying some  extra coins, but he doesn't have much info.

anyone knows ?

THANKS guys

I’m serious guys ... I know a few people that bought a business and got a pr through their own business

Nowadays you can not be a stakeholder of the business you get sponsored at anymore. I had my own business before and sponsored myself but I had to sell it because they changed the rules. (Again)

Really sorry to hear it. I am quite nervous  now. I have applied DE Marketing Specialist in June 2017. Nothing heard yet. I am working in  non profit making organisation. They showed loss this year. Last year was profit. Though they have 6 million in assets. I am scared whether it will impact my application. Hopefully we all get our desired result soon....

Silent Reader:

Received the golden email this morning from my MA having logged in first thing and seeing Finalised, rather than the usual Received.

Timeline:

Occupation: Marketing Specialist

Nomination and Visa applied same day : 04 October 2017

Nomination and visa approved: 12 May 2018

TRT

Country : LR

Applicants : 4

Processing Team : NSW Pese

Have to say the whole thing is a complete lottery.  I work for a very large employer who sponsors a lot of 186 visa's.  Timescales are ranging 3 to 9 months.  One of the guys who works for me applied mid November and received theirs in March.

Good luck all

Congrats! i noticed you'd updated the sheet yesterday and was waiting to see an announcement here, i'm marketing TRT from october too... great to see you're has been reached. Bet you're thrilled. Enjoy!

Australia is not the only place in the world and I don’t want to be sick all my life for them.. after many years of hardwork and doing everything in the right way, this is what we deserve?????? Naaaa sorry you don’t need me or people like me.... good luck Australia you just deserve other kind of people (thieves, illegal workers, criminals, people who don’t pay tax, ect)

I don't wanna judge your reaction, I can understand the frustration, but some fluctuation in the timeline is understandable.

Officially the dept is processing applications lodged  "from June 2016 to March 2017" (I just sent an email to NSW PSE to get an autoreply with the processing status update), we've seen that it doesn't mean that applications lodged later than that aren't processed, but still, that's the official status.

Considering that the visa changes were announced in April 2017 I would understand if the timeline changed for worse in the upcoming months. I have ZERO facts to say this for sure, but the number of application lodged from April 2017 was higher on average than in the months before, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if the estimate changed according to that. I also have zero knowledge of the number of people the dept has working on visas, but pretending that number doesn't change, the reason for these fluctuations to happen is an higher no. of application to process, which is understandable.

Anyway, we've seen how the estimates don't always mean much (otherwise we wouldn't see all these cases of visas approved in 3/4 months or more than 16 months), I wouldn't worry today more than I did yesterday. It's a waiting game.

Processing time 11-16 now....

I think you mis-understand the figures. The processing time is not 11 to16 months. It means that 75% of applications are processed in less than 11 months - in other words, the majority of applications are processed in less than 11 months. I do not deny that it is long and a painful wait, but saying that the processing time is between 11 and 16 months is misleading.
