I asked my MA to contact the department as the processing times have dropped to 13 months tops. They replied that

"

Please note, the following message provided by the Department of Immigration’s Permanent Employer Sponsorship section:

“No response will be provided to enquiries in relation to an application status update, processing timeframes, pre-lodgement or non-PESE related matters”

If you would like to see a copy of the message, please send a blank email to nsw.pse@homeaffairs.gov.au. You will receive an automated response with information about Subclass 186 processing.

The automated response will also provide information about which applications are currently being processed. As of today, the section is processing applications lodged between June 2016 to March 2017."

So they consider it's not a good Idea to contact them yet as all the information is there. But it seems my application is in limbo and this is very stressful as the status is still "Received" On the 23rd it will be 15 months waiting

No surprise there. There is absolutely no point in them publishing timeframes at all. Serves no purpose and misleads already stressed minds! I have just sent an email to my Migration agent asking them to contact my allocated case office and ask them what is happening. They now have everything they asked for. I cant imagine waiting any longer. I see some people wait a day and some wait a few more months after submitting documents. It's all very confusing. You may be granted (like others have) without them asking you for any documentation. Fingers crossed for all of us.

I think trying to contact them by email has great chances of being a failure. They can simply use that automated response and tell you to **** off.

If you call them, then it's a different story. You can explain that you have been waiting for ages, you can add a little bit of drama and maybe, MAYBE you can touch somebody's heart and they could at least have a look at your file to see if there's any reasons for the delay.

That worked for me when I was applying for Visitors visa for relatives, I know it's not even close to a residency visa but it worth the try. Oppose to what some people think/say, I don't think calling them will delay your application as in they are going to move your application even further down the list just because you annoyed them by calling.

If any delays happen it will be probably because instead of assessing they are answering the phone which in your case, it's fair considering the time you've been waiting. Plus, I don't think COs actually answer to phone calls unless you nag the first representative so much that they forward you to a CO.

Online it does says 8-13

I was on the phone w them yesterday and told me 11-15

I can’t wait to get a response, quit and leave australia for a while :-(

A different timeline been told definitely a mistake or mislead but it really not a matter as I think it will extend the timeline next month ...what we can do is be patient and try to live the life happily ?

186 Marketing Specialist TRT was granted about 4 weeks ago. About 1 year from the lodgement date. ( March 2017)

Very funny case though. Case officer called my MA direct and put no comments on my file on additional information needed.

Asked for a lot of extra information. More than that seem needed in my opinion and had to be provided within her one week deadline.

Nom and visa granted within 10 minutes of each about 3 weeks after requesting. We actually delayed providing documents as our financial team couldn't get into the office due to snow in Ireland.

I definitely think the MA had some pull on this.

Goodluck all

Hi,guys,I applied ENS TRT chef on 7/April/2017. Right now I felt so helpless and hopeless. I used to be a silent reader with hope in this forum, and am happy to see few mates got their visas granted from same timelines. However I was told by my boss yesterday that he gonna sign the contract for selling the restaurant tomorrow. I was shocked and gutted with what he told me. And he said restaurant name, menus, and all the positions will remain as before, only ABN gonna be changed. Furthermore, new employer will accept all the staff. But my point is i have been waiting for this xxxx visa for more than one year , and now i’m likely to lose both money and time. And My MA told my boss for those who already applied ENS gonna reapply again. I tried to search such cases online, but couldn’t find anything. In order to seek most official answer, I went to parramatta and central DHA today, and they just simply told you to contact the staff who works on visa section by calling or e-mailing. As a result, what you got from calling is endless waiting, and what you got from e-mailing is always an auto reply email. I’m totally speechless.

i’ll be much appreciated if someone has some knowledge related to this situation to share with me, and give a guide. Thanks

This happened to me an my colleague in November last year.

My salon manager sold the business while we were both waiting for our visas.

If they change ABN number, yes your visa will be cancelled. I don’t know how close you are to your boss, but in our case our manager stayed in the company to keep the visas. I’m still getting paid from her and her ABN number, but I’ve got a new manager. She will leave as soon as our visas gets approved.

Maybe have a chat to him and see if this could be an option?

It makes this waiting period even more difficult...
It becomes difficult to be happy for others when you have waited much more time...
Yes sorry guys emoji5.png
It seems that the more you wait the more you're gonna wait...
I can't see the end right now...emoji848.png

Oh come on...

i get it's frustrating and soul destroying, and i get i haven't waited as long as you, but i don't think you can deny there has been an uptake for marketing recently after a period of radio silence.

Just emailed the department to the address my MA suggested and got this ::arghh:

Quote

Permanent Employer Sponsored Entry (PESE) - ENS 186 and RSMS 187 Visa

This is an automated response

No response will be provided to enquiries in relation to an application status update, processing timeframes, pre-lodgement or non-PESE related matters

Latest update:

The phone enquiry line (02) 8861 4353 for PESE Centralised Administration Team has been disabled from 23 March 2018. Any enquiries not answered by this automated response should be directed to nsw.pse@homeaffairs.gov.au

Processing status update:

ENS (subclass 186)

applications lodged from June 2016 to March 2017

RSMS (subclass 187)

applications lodged from June 2016 to March 2017

IMPORTANT: Applications are assessed on a case by case basis. Some individual circumstances may cause applications to fall outside the published processing times. As a network we seek to ensure all cases outside service standard are only undecided because they are the subject of appropriate and necessary ongoing processing . For information on global processing times, please see:  https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/access-accountability/service-standards/global-visa-citizenship-processing-times

Processing of the incomplete applications:

Permanent Employer Sponsored Entry program is managing incomplete applications to reduce processing times for complete applications. This will involve refusing applications assessed as not meeting a legislative requirement at the initial assessment stage, due to lack of required supporting evidence. Informing the Department that the application is incomplete will not necessarily result in a request for the missing information.

Has anyone here called  131881 (IMMI ENQUIRY NUMBER) and has it done anything? Positive or negative? I hear that some people say it helped them and some say it doesn't.

Just found this online :

https://migrationalliance.com.au/immigration-daily-news/entry/2017-03-131-881-harming-the-lives-of-australian-visa-applicants-one-visa-at-a-time.html

I wouldn't bother, especially after reading that article. You clearly cant take what the say as truth or knowledge. Some poor guy was told he had a case Officer assigned and went off doing all his medicals etc only to find it wasn't true! Shocking!

Some days I feel like there are lots being approved then it all goes quiet ha. So annoying.

Just have to remember that this forum is a just a drop in the ocean when it comes to the approvals. There will be hundreds getting approved today no doubt about it.

Hello All.. This is my first post here after stalking for a few months. My story below.

  • HR, 3 people, and DE
  • Filed both nomination and visa applications on 09/11/2017 as Developer Programmer through an MA
  • Request for more documents/info (to my manager for nomination and to me for my wife's PCC for Visa application) on 21/02/2018
  • Additional docs submitted on 20/03/2018
  • It has been in "Further Assessment" since then

No idea how much longer it is going to take. My AFP crossed 6 months about a week ago, and overseas PCC is about to cross 6 months as well. My medicals are 1 year 6 months old but they didn't ask for those when they reviewed the application on 21/02! I fear they might do that when they have a look again, which will delay the whole thing again.

Good luck to all the fellow anxious souls here. Cheers!!

I thought they may open the files again at the end of the 28 days if not earlier. So I think you may get some update tomorrow or within a few days. Good luck
