Looks pretty dark huh?!? I’ve got an Australian partner so De facto will be my back up plan. Just want to see how long I can stick it out before jumping on the next one.. been waiting for 14 months already so I might as well give a couple of more. any news on yours @Bellabonkers??

I applied in March 2017, my colleague in June. I’m DE and he’s TRT. We are now the only ones working, we don’t have any apprentice or any Australian staff. New owners and the business is at a big loss atm. They can’t even afford paying our holidays.. and they’ve fired everyone to save money. But losing instead. I’m afraid our visas will be refused.. what do you guys think?

This happened to me an my colleague in November last year. My salon manager sold the business while we were both waiting for our visas. If they change ABN number, yes your visa will be cancelled. I don’t know how close you are to your boss, but in our case our manager stayed in the company to keep the visas. I’m still getting paid from her and her ABN number, but I’ve got a new manager. She will leave as soon as our visas gets approved. Maybe have a chat to him and see if this could be an option?

I am a hairdresser DE as well. I applied March 2017. Have spoken to immi and they’ve taken a decision on the nomination, but they’re not allowed to tell me what it is. It all looks good and a case officer are looking into my file. They’re pretty helpful when you call (as long as you’re very nice?) Said I should have a decision very soon. Havd you called them at all?

I called 131 881. Hairdresser on 457 with the same company still, but applied 186 DE to get it done quicker (which wasn’t the case?)

I’m getting close to 13months DE. Called today to check for update and they said my file has been looked at and it all looks good. He checked my nomination as well, which I have no control over and said apparently they’ve made a decision, but he wasn’t allowed to tell me more.. I spoke to my employer who did the nomination and he said he hasn’t received anything from immi. I think he lost the log in to immi account and only relying on email..is it possible the nomination has been approved and it’s only showing on his immi account? And they wouldn’t be looking at my file if the nomination has been refused right? In that case they should’ve contacted him for more documents? Fingers crossed its good news

Big congrats!!! Do you know if the vic team are processing the same months as Nsw? Did you receive an automatic email? (If you ever emailed them to check that is..)

I just called the phone number on the automatic email (pese Nsw) and spoke to a really nice lady. My file, March 2017 hasn’t been allocated, but she said (referring to the email) they’re processing up to March 2017 now and they apparently update this weekly. If it would change and process up to April 2017 next week, she said to call again and they’ll look into it..
