  1. 186 Marketing Specialist TRT was granted about 4 weeks ago. About 1 year from the lodgement date. ( March 2017) Very funny case though. Case officer called my MA direct and put no comments on my file on additional information needed. Asked for a lot of extra information. More than that seem needed in my opinion and had to be provided within her one week deadline. Nom and visa granted within 10 minutes of each about 3 weeks after requesting. We actually delayed providing documents as our financial team couldn't get into the office due to snow in Ireland. I definitely think the MA had some pull on this. Goodluck all
  2. Yes, the BAS and training was submitted initially with my employer nomination and they are asking for an updated version because of the amount of time I have been waiting.
  3. It’s TRT mate. It’s all information after lodgement for bas up to December 2017 and training. More work for the finance team.
  4. It looks like what the MA's were saying about the conference was correct. I got my MA to call and a case officer called him the next day asking for a lot of details/information because my file is around 11 months old. My MA advised that the case officers request would only be over the phone and it wouldn't be put on my online file. She also advised that we have 7 days to provide the information. They want everything from figures, BAS, training for the last 4 years , proof of work for the year before I applied. I'm not sure if calling has annoyed them and they want to be more thorough than normal. Hopefully it will be sorted soon. Cheers
  5. I don't know for certain, I'm just guessing like everyone else. A lot of these types of jobs could be filled by Australian's though I'm guessing and this is the Liberals big thing right now? (Letting Australian's know that they are protecting Australian jobs) Has anyone at all had a positive outcome from calling immigration? Cheers
  6. I'm not sure what the situation is on the cost exactly but a colleague of mine told me that the same company charged her for her bridging visa when she needed it for 457. They shouldn't charge as it seems pretty straight forward but I got a feeling they will try even though they get a lot of business form our company . Hopefully the visa will be granted by then but I have a feeling it won't. From the phone called I had with the migration agent your visa will not be granted or declined when you are outside the country on a bridging . I'm not an expert though but this is gist I got from the conversation I had with him. Definitely seems a problem with certain job types. ( Chefs, cooks , marketing specialists etc) They seem not be granting these types of visas. Think they are having a major clamp down as I think there has been a lot of abuse with these types in the past.\ Probably the reason they are adding caveats? Cheers Matt
  7. Hello, I'm a marketing specialist who applied in March 2017 through a migration agent with the TRT 186 on shore. its been about eleven months now and my agent said he'd follow up with immigration. This is fine as there is no rush but I'm going abroad in May and will need to apply for a bridging visa to leave and come back as my 457 visa has now expired. I've got a feeling the agent is going to try and charge me around $500 including the immigration fee for him to lodge this bridging visa and frankly I don't want to spend any more money. How straight forward is this to do myself? I have the login details for my account on the immigration website and it looks fine but I don't want to be pissing about with it and cause any problems. Any advice? Cheers
