    On the letter they request for more information, there should be a number. Please prepare your file number, TRN number, application ID then call that number to check. My nomination approved on Mar.28th but immigration asked for the AFP. 35 days after I submited the AFP, I still didn’t receive the visa approval. I can’t help and called immigration cause some people get visa approved few days after submit doc or at least after 28 days. the lady who answered the phone is really friendly and patient. I told her my AFP is submitted 35days ago but still no update and I start to get worried. She asked my file number then said can’t find anything, then I ask her to check using TRN, she said ok I saw the updated AFP and I will finalize it now. 5 mins later visa status change from further assessment to finalized. i don’t understand how this happen maybe system glitches. To me, worth to call them as nothing to harm. all the best with the visa

    Hello Boys and Girls, Just got my PR this afternoon. This forum has been part of my life in the past half year and thank you for supporting each other. My timeline: Project Admin 186 TRT HR Nomination and Visa applied May-01-2017 Nomination approved Mar-28-2018 on same day new AFP is requested as the old one expire on Dec.6th 2017 AFP upload on Apr-10-2018 Visa approved Apr-30-2018 Best wishes to all of you

    Nah not yet. I submitted the AFP on Apr.10th and still further assessment. Not sure how long will it take...it is being processed by VIC how about you

    Mine is updated to 11 to 12 months as well. Have you been contacted to provide docs? I was contacted to provide AFP after 11 months and now is further assessment. May will be the 12th months since my application. i guess that’s maybe the last reason why timeline is updated. Not sure though

    I thought they may open the files again at the end of the 28 days if not earlier. So I think you may get some update tomorrow or within a few days. Good luck

    I feel medical has more buffer compared to AFP. I have done booth medical and AFP end of Dec 2016, applied nomination and visa in May 2017, nomination approved on March 28th 2018, the CO has requested a new AFP for the visa but not the medical certificate. I definitely suggest you apply a new AFP if it’s already expired

    Good morning boys and girls, finally there is good progress for me. My nomination is approved this morning. A new AFP is requested for visa as the previous one expired.

    Hopefully we can hear good news soon. My colleagues with same occupation all got PR around 6 months but they applied earlier. I think it was just a bad time when we applied but we will get there. Can’t wait for the celebration champagne. It’s enough waiting

    I still believe Mar 2017 is a typo.....they don’t even realize now it’s Mar 2018 already.....it’s insane. BTW, I am same occupation as you, applied May 1st, no update yet.
