  1. I went through this procedure last year to get a NT tax code and telephoned HMRC and had to insist to be put through to a tax technician (their term) . They said they were nine months behind in processing these forms and the computer had logged the form from the ATO . I managed to persuade her to deal with it on the phone as she had the documents in front of her and i received the NT code two weeks later .
  2. But it wasn,t it was UBank and the ATO have many instances . Sorry you think it’s a lot of old rubbish it was meant to be informative
  3. I find it strange that you are blaming the victim as the ATO figures were entered correctly by her employers accountants . They were later altered remotely and she only knew when the accountant asked her about the refund . So what more should she have done regarding adequate security and data protection safeguards .
  4. I have a friend who has had her government ATO account hacked . The year end figures were altered and it triggered a AUS$3000.00 refund , the bank account was changed to UBank (the ATO said that UBank were easy to set up accounts for scammers) .This happened last year .
  5. They are a well known bank used by scammers .
  6. We used “homesforexchange” which I think has been taken over by love homes swop . We really only used the site for introductions . The hardest one to arrange was the first as we were in the dark and were probably over thinking . Once we were in Australia we visited future couples to swop with to check compatibility as some swops took 2/3 years to happen . We stayed in some lovely properties and did not have any big issues .
  7. We did this for 10 years before our 143 visa came through in 2020 . We arranged house/ car swops for each visit in the Perth area , the swops were between 2 and 6 months all with different people . Although we only wanted Perth we must have received 600 requests to swop over the years , our property was a three bed in Cambridgeshire . No money changed hands we paid UK bills only .
  8. Looking at your previous posts I think your parents are on a bridging visa having applied for the 804 visa . I think it’s a new application and you forfeit the previous fees.
  9. Our switch was in 2020 see timeline below . Would think that the 143 has been full and yours will come into the next years allocation
  10. We moved from Cambridgeshire to Perth in 2020 and paid £4250 for a 20 ft container . It took exactly three months door to door . We used Pretloves of Saffron Walden & Epping after getting a recommendation on here after having many quotes from the bigger movers . There was only very minor damage and no extra charges at this end . We only took out minimal insurance to cover specific items .
  11. I think there were other parent visa classes 103/804 etc included in the yearly grant figure

    Parent visa

How do you get prescriptions for $6 on the 143 visa , I thought you only got that if you hold a Commonwealth Seniors Card and the issue for that it is income related plus four years at least on PR
  13. The quoting of time delays on the processing of parent visas is odd . The 143 states 58 months which is where they are processing now but the 103 states 30 years but they are processing 2012 now .
  14. Is this an answer to my question regarding over 75 years and medicals . Maybe it’s for 600 but not for 651
  15. Are all visa applicants over 75 required to have a medical before issue of visa . When we were having our 143 medicals we met a lady who had been instructed by IMMI to have a medical as she had reached 75 and had travelled many times on a tourist visa and this was the first time she had needed a medical
  16. No we were in the UK at the time and our daughter in Perth did the transfer , but it can’t do any harm sending a copy
  17. You have been busy I hope the visa comes quickly , ours took 3 months after paying second vac due to Covid restrictions at the time (see timeline).
  18. Are your only children in Melbourne ?
  19. We used ANZ plus insurance which covered everything not covered by Medicare
  20. Maybe my timeline might help a little Perth Bound. Northern Suburbs Queue date 103 visa 24/08/2015 Applied for 143 visa 06/01/2020 Acknowledgement date 21/01/2020 Request for further documents 06/02/2020 Uk & Australian police checks done 11/02/2020 Form 80 completed 12/02/2020 two medical done 11/02/2020 (one referral to GP high blood pressure) Request for AOS bond received 05/03/2020 bond paid 06/03/2020 AOS approved 13/03/2020 2nd VAC request 19/03/2020 Paid 2nd VAC 23/03/2020 Visa granted 02/06/2020
  21. It’s a long time since I have been described as “junior” . Yes it is most odd
  22. Sorry a bit off topic but why are you only a junior member when others who are far less informative are members or senior members
  23. I think your only talking about a handful of people switching . We always knew we were going to take this route to PR but it had risks as it could have been changed easily at any time . I would be more concerned with the tourist visa/bridging visa/804 visa route which I believe seriously impacts on the amount of visas being issued .you only have to look here and Facebook to see how many are contemplating entry this way
  24. I did not think Quantas were flying to Perth at the moment ?
