  1. I suppose it depends on your profession?
  2. I think the invitation numbers are very low for the family track.
  3. Hello, I am living and working in South Australia on a 489 visa. I intend to apply for an 887 visa at a later date. I plan to visit other places both within different states of Australia and oversees. This will also include cities that are not designated regional areas. These are just holidays / breaks and I will be remaining a resident and working in SA. Is there a limit of how long I can be out of the state or designated regional area please? Thanks
  4. I have had a minor "elective" procedure done on medicare. The doctor said it needed doing so It got done. I could have flown home but didn't. I suspect this is all because of genuine people coming to Australia with an existing health condition and getting it treated here. Anyway - based on the Medicare Levy Surcharge I will be getting insurance anyway as it will be cheaper in the long run.
  5. The new list has been published. Worth looking again to see if it has changed.
  6. Wait until next month. The high points will be cleared on most occupations. Same thing happened the last coupe of years.
  7. That doesn't answer his question. Anyway why would they pay for a movecube when they already have air freight they can use?
  8. You might be looking for this. The processing times are extremely long. Well over 10 years I believe (someone else might be able to clarify). https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/remaining-relative-115
  9. They haven't invited anyone with 65 points in years. I would explore the 190 / 489.
  10. If you rent council tax is included and not a seperate bill you pay.
  11. What was the reason for refusal?
  12. I have reservations about things like this. Look what happened with the cane toad...
  13. A 189 visa is an independent skilled visa and you're not sponsored by an employer for the 189 visa. As for the wage it will depend on the area and your skill set. Take a look at seek.com.au and see if you can find something comparable.
  14. That information sounds like the requirements when applying for a passport rather than a visa.
  15. I just did a digital image. It wasn't signed.
  16. I got someone to take a photo of me on my smartphone. I then cropped and resized the photo to a size of 35 x 45mm.
  17. For South Australia you need to apply to the state. Without that you won't be invited.
  18. Indeed. I know someone who applied to both Victoria and South Australia. Victoria rejected him for that reason.
  19. I believe you don't need to provide documentation in regard to English for the 887 visa.
  20. You shouldn't apply now as you're not eligible. They will reject the application. You should wait until you meet the criteria.
  21. Hello, A few days ago I read someone who was struggling to get home broadband due to having no credit history. I have had a bank account in Australia for around 9 years or so. It has always had a balance and a healthy one at the moment. However I haven't borrowed any money. I am wondering if this account will help build a credit history please? Thanks
  22. Just a slight correction. You get 10KG in addition to your existing allowance. So if you get a basic economy ticket you get 30+10 = 40KG. It's not a flat 40KG allowance. Some economy and premium economy tickets have 35KG. So you will get 45KG total. Business class you get 40KG plus your addition 10KG totalling 50KG. First class you get 50KG plus 10KG totalling 60KG. https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/au/travel-info/baggage/checked-baggage/ Don't forget your cabin baggage allowance. Depending on your ticket you can get between 7 - 14KG in the cabin as well. https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/au/travel-info/baggage/cabin-baggage/
