  1. I got mine through myhealthdeclerations but can only do it that way if you want to do medicals before you apply for visa
  2. I never spent any time thinking about this and just sent my UK CV....I didn't realise it was supposed to be done any special way...and turns out it didn't and mine was accepted no problem
  3. No she doesn't need it finalised for 457...yes she can apply for jobs and explain in CV that ahpra process almost complete so will be no delays wth that...
  4. Ive never needed three month pay slips, my offer of employment/contract was enough. I managed to get a rental within a week on both times I moved over but with kids and the extra stuff that brings I would get temp for three weeks if I were you.
  5. Same happened to me....I got all 8.5s and 9s except speaking where I got 7.5...I didn't appeal coz I didn't know much about it all back then and took me four tries to get all 8s coz of the speaking....then I spoke to one of ielts examiners and they told me if their is an issue only in the writing or speaking u should def appeal n told me I shouldn't have wasted my time redoing it as appeal would have been most likely successful.....depends how much of a rush u r in I guess
  6. Yes def appeal, the speaking and the writing are the only two sections worth appealing as they are not straight forward right or wrong answers..mark usually only changes by .5 on appeal but that's all you need
  7. http://opensiuc.lib.siu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1795&context=gs_rp
  8. Download form 80 and you will see questions that need answering on there...I think that's what you mean when you are talking about holidays?...I did form 80 and then Just proof of English language, his education and work was not relevant to visa so if I did give info on that it was minimal and didn't need to evidence it...not much was needed for my secondary applicant...well they need police Certs too and medicals
  9. You can upload Before requested...upload everything before requested if u like...you need to provide evidence for everything you are claiming points for....secondary applicant won't needs skills assessment or work history etc if you are not claiming points for that
  10. Where u plan to live will make it a comfortable salary or not. You will need some money to pay bond and rent in advance for accomodation and also to pick up a car if u need one...also money to see you through to first wage so u cant come with nothing...but people live on less than that....I was liVing in Sydney on $58000 when i first arrived in 2013, I had no problem and afforded everything I needed plus extras...and that job then led to much better paying one. Is employer helping with accomodation? that would make it easier again for you. I don't find cost of living expensive, equal or better than uk to me. Medicare is similar to nhs. There is no MOT here, have a look on main roads website for state u will be in for details of what cars need...I feel that cars are cheaper to run and own here...for me. I live in a regional area now. If it's been your dream, def go for it, you are in a position that many people can only dream of - a job Offer so I would take it
  11. I did mine and added it on before asked as I was looking for quick direct grant, didn't take that long
  12. Have you asked your local court? My local one did all mine for free...and another one at a different location did all of them for £15.
  13. I would stay n do your degree....get on nmc register n then go back...have couple holidays in meant time
  14. I don't think scaremongering people about applying for own visa is helpful...I did both my visas alone and there was no problem with it...lots of chatting to people on here who had done it themselves and reading and rereading all the immi and skills assessment info got me through...internet makes things much easier now...small errors aren't going ruin you! I thought about an agent but looking into it I would have had to do all the main work anyway of gathering info etc, they would just be a guide meaning less research for me. If complicated visa issue or plenty money to burn then def worth it for less stress but I would never have learned all I did about visas and processes if I just took direct instructions from someone else....I like learning....and if you don't know about visas then An agent may suggest an idea that you won't know if it's best one or not and may be other avenues that suit u better, you know what you want or need for your life more than an agent who specialises in visas not your life. I was advised to go for 190 but on my own research I got 189 instead. I also didn't like idea of someone else being in charge of such a big thing in my life and me not having full control over it...i find myself to be a pretty capable person and didn't need the middle man. Bit like having a chauffeur or butler...if u can afford it then it makes life a little easier but unless u can't drive and don't want to learn to its not completely necessary
  15. I needed this info too.i got gp to print me off records of immunisations I had and then I had to go get the whooping cough injection coz I never had that one...apparently not one they do routinely in uk ...the gp wouldn't do it as they don't recommend it so had to go to a travel clinic and have nurse do it there for a fee and she gave me a certificate for it. I didn't need boosters of anything.
  16. I don't see why you u can't go for 189...I got mine in 4 weeks once I applied...although I did have to wait three months for skills assessment before I could apply...my 457 took 4 months....so time frames vary, you are best going for option that is most suited for you both long term and the best visa is 189
  17. You can get hapID before applying for visa so you can get medicals before applying...you need hapID to do medicals and can get it through myhealthdeclerations...I did This and also got police checks n form 80 done before being requested and got visa in 4 weeks so it may speed up process if U are ready for that
  18. Similar happened to me in nsw and I was told they had to provide alternative way to cook so I was given a microwave and then when cooker wasn't fixed in specific time frame I got small rent reduction...I got lot of advice and help from nsw tenants website and spoke on phone to them as without that the estate agents werent listening to me. I left that estate agents as soon as I could as was not happy with that service and since then had very good experiences renting with different agencies when it comes to repairs
  19. I would answer yes, it's a straight foward question...I can't see it affecting your visa success though
  20. If money and accomodation isn't an issue I would go on a working holiday if you can and then go for 189 straight away...with a 457 you could waste time trying to get that and then not find a sponsor in the end and if you want to stay you will need to apply for permanent visa anyway after or during 457
  21. So how would anyone know they were moving back to Aus? Is everyone wth children stopped at the airport and asked to prove both parents agree to the flight? Just curious.
  22. What makes you think he would have to do bridging course? If he has a degree and three months experience he can register with ahpra and practice as a nurse in Aus.
  23. This is how I see it and is what happened to me...I go to the doctors here same way I did with Nhs and seems same to me so far. Good luck
  24. I registered with Medicare as soon as I arrived as I knew I would need to see a doctor, you go to a Medicare service centre or sometimes they are in a Centrelink centre..just google your nearest one, fill in a form, show ID and they send you out a card and I think give you a temp one till it arrives...you can download the form and take it with you so it's already done as there can be long lines of people waiting to be seen...it's very quick and straightforward to register. if you go to a bulk billing gp they require your Medicare number to get free or low cost visits, blood tests etc. I have pre existing conditions that have been treated by Medicare. Google Medicare for more info, they have good website and once you are registered their services are online.
