  1. you can apply to ahpra now, once you get letter of eligibility you have to appear in person to complete registration, so apply within the year you want to move, from sending off my application to Sydney office it took approx 8weeks.
  2. i became a nurse so i could travel and got 457 easy enough with little experience, luckily once i went into nursing i loved it and it means more to me than travel now, training for any type of profession like that is hard work and if you don't like it and it is only for the end result of moving opportunities it will be even harder, you will need to train for 3 or 4 years depending where you live..you should pick something you think you will like and could stick out even if oz fell through..
  3. my statement of service was same as above post, i sent very little in way of CPD, i was only qualified a year when i applied and just printed off a few e learning modules i had done which was a bit pathetic really but they accepted it no problem in Sydney xx
  4. i used airsure at the post office and found them really good, can track it all the way and arrived in few days, good price too, ahpra all complete from day of posting in 8 weeks.
  5. wont be long for you then! we are going to Sydney too, i'll be working in Concord at the centre for mental health. Did you choose to post the medicals?
  6. im all set to go really, ahpra, visa...job starts the beginning of august and we're flying out on 9th July time is dragging now though...
  7. yeah i spent ages making sure application was perfect and then some before sending it after all the horror stories i read on here! and it was all straight forward in the end, just need to check all details and take your time with it.
  8. i went to court and they done it for free, i got everything signed and even extras signed just in case..as it was free thought i would take advantage
  9. you sign CV, i never got CV, letter from employer or ahpra application notarized/certified. My letter from employer was very short and just stated that i was a full time staff nurse on an acute admissions unit, the dates and salary, that was enough. Good luck x
