  1. Yes I agree, driving here much easier...n I think more enjoyable too
  2. But sponsorship as what? I don't think she would be able to do that
  3. I would def top up here first then look to going to Aus...much easier n straightforward...n u should be going for degree here anyway for professional development reasons.. You might already have completed some courses that will count towards it? Means u won't get to Aus straight away but it's a lengthy process anyway
  4. You need to pass the skills assessment whatever that requires or the points won't matter so depends what skills assessing body requires you to have in way of experience. Doesn't matter who is primary applicant you will both be granted PR in your own right and have the same rights as each other, doesn't matter who works first.
  5. I gave my uk address when applying and then when u need to present in person to complete registration I gave my temp adress in Australia..and you need proof of that adress, I took a bank statement. I don't recall them making me give an Aussie address to begin with....while I was still living in uk.
  6. Westpac ask for 6months rental history in place of savings
  7. Depends on how well he is n how he copes with stress I guess but my worry of taking my older dog was what if we got to Aus and for some reason had to return to uk, that would be two trips for him and I didn't want to put him through that and all that upheaval if things didn't work out(plus the expense)...I also knew by his personality type that it would be stressful for him and more so as he wasn't a silly care free optomistic kid anymore! I felt he would have coped with the heat and there is lots of ways to keep them cool. I left him with family initially till I was certain I would be staying and I'm glad I did coz would have been bad for him initially. You and your vet will have a good idea how he will be.
  8. I have three medical conditions which have been a bit complicated over the years but I didn't bring any medical records as I know my treatment well and know my complications so I just filled in forms here with gp (been to several now) and verbally relayed my issues n that was fine, none of GPs have ever asked for anything else and I have always recieved good care...although I did wonder how they didn't now I wasn't just making it up but I guess that would be pointless! But I imagine if any drugs of misuse are needed I would take medical records for that
  9. Sounds weird...I was sponsored on 457 in Sydney and didn't have any hours experience....have you looked for documented evidence of these required hours yourself? On immi website or whoever it is that states the hours are required?
  10. You can use a resident return visa to go in and out of the country once the travel part of your permanent visa runs out
  11. If you have been in Aus for the best part of four years, yes.
  12. Why do you feel it is relevant now then? I, as main applicant didn't put all my irrelavent jobs down but if you are going to change it then yes I would put the honest reason

    Basic

We had foundation, general and credit classes...foundation being lowest...I think whatever it's called will eventually have negative connotations attached to it and need to be changed...kids at my school who were in foundation classes did worse than ever as they mostly weren't interested, were forgotten about as non acheivers and was full of misbehaving kids too so didn't really work in any helpful way...maybe for kids who are not academically gifted they could do extra practical or physical type courses and rename it something along those lines and it will appear that that group has chosen to focus on other things rather than being relegated to it!
  14. Victoria was sponsoring earlier this year and so was regional qld
  15. Thought about a different state? Or getting 189?
  16. For my 457 visa I didn't have experience so I don't think their is a minimum but the job sponsoring may require a minimum amount of experience?
  17. I did mental health nursing purely to get into Aus...it's not like general nursing, much better...luckily I ended up loving my career choice and finding it easy and got visa with just 3 months work experience (well actually I proved zero work experiences as they said I didn't need the 3 months other nurses needed due to mental health being specialised however no one else seems to have gotten away with that) I would say MH nursing is safer bet than just general adult nursing...but will destroy you if it's not for you u!
  18. Do something you are genuinely interested in....failing that...mental health nursing is a good bet and is partly the reason I studied that...gave me an easier way in
  19. That when an Aussie is excited to take u to see an amazing creek or waterfall (usually walking miles n miles) and it's just a dribble of water (or none at all) n your standing thinking there was better waterfalls/creeks in your garden or town in the U.K. Lol
  20. First check how many points you have..if you have enough for 189 visa n if you don't then what you need to do to make them up..have a look on immi website
  21. I think you mean if you are claiming points for experience? Then obviously yes you need to prove experience but if you don't need points for experience it's not necessary to get positive skills ass.
